Their website says they perform simple suturing and that is all this was...6 stitches. The nurse practitioner at the ER cared for him without a physician ever seeing him because it was that simple. Rather than treat him as their license and insurance contracts allows at this "Care Clinic", they sent him to the ER where it took significantly longer to be cared for and cost a copay of $500 as opposed to $25. I was instructed by our insurance company to call them to discuss the situation so they had an opportunity to make it right. I did and bottom line, the owners wouldn't even talk directly to us and said we were attempting to extort money from them. How pathetic!! The owners wouldn't even speak to us to tell us this, they had someone else do their office do their dirty work. Cowards! Dr Moniz is one of the owners that was involved per his staff. This is the most unprofessional, inept urgent care facility I have encountered and I've worked in healthcare for over 30 years. I will be reporting them to the state and have a complaint and appeal in with the insurance company. I will not let this go until they treat patients appropriately and within their licensure/scope as opposed to having clerical people making clinical decisions! If I could give them a negative 10 stars, I would. My recommendation to everyone is to stay away from the Midwest Convenient Care locations, whether in Farmington for Potosi.

The technician reminded me of my mother, and I am 75 years old. The technician was so kind to me, careful in how she drew blood, and so good at her job, that I would willingly go to her every single day of the week for a blood draw if necessary. Where in the world did you find her? Do everything you can to keep her! That would be my ask. I'll tell you this, but I am sure you now know.
