Very unprofessional. Booked a custom appointment to get my maternity photos done and paid a sitting fee upfront. This is my third and LAST pregnancy and since I did not take maternity photos with my first 2, I wanted to have the keepsake & memories of being pregnant with my last one. Had a phone consultation with Dwayne letting him know that I wanted my 2 daughters in the photos as well. It was not explained to me at that time that a session with more than 2 people is an "Elite session" and a $2000 difference. I was willing to pay the difference as that portion goes towards photos as well. Later, I let Dwayne know that I wanted my partner to come too. At this point, he tells me about the elite session and I confirm. The day before my appointment, I get a $2000 invoice in my email and I'm thinking that's fine, that's just how much extra it is. It was unbeknownst to me that the $2000 was meant to be paid up front ON TOP of the sitting fee that I already paid, without ever meeting this person or seeing the studio. WHAT A SCAM! All that was sent to me were the emails. No attempt to call/text and clarify or anything. An hour and a half before my appointment time, I get a text saying that my appointment was cancelled because I did not confirm (I confirmed twice) and he could not hold his posing coach (his wife) and he wasn't able to fully prepare for the large group (added 1 more person after I had let him know upfront that I would have my daughters with me). I rearranged my whole family's schedule for this shoot and I was so excited and now I'm frustrated, upset, and heartbroken because I'm already further along in my pregnancy. Never in my life would I ever consider doing a boudoir photo shoot, but as I slowly age...I begin to realize that life is short and we only live once so I might as well capture my youth now before it's gone forever. I bought a LivingSocial offer and made an appointment for 10/30. I had no idea what to expect so I was quite nervous while driving in and then getting "lost" before calling Christina to figure out their exact location. I was at the right place, just not deep in enough to see their building which is located behind a furniture company (I think). I arrived about 20 minutes early and Christina came out to open the lobby door for me. As we made our way up the steps, she gave me the talk through of what to expect during the entire process. I brought 4 outfits and 3 pairs of heels for her to choose from. She eliminated the dress because it covered up too much skin for a boudoir session. She worked on my hair and make up. I usually don't wear any make up so I was a little surprised to see how different I looked with make up on, not that she did a bad job on it either. Just a little heavier/darker than what I'm accustomed to. She did a nice job on curling my hair too! During the entire session, I was very self conscious, but Christina made me feel comfortable by making small talks and cracking a few jokes. She and Dwayne definitely make a great team. The entire shoot took about 2 hours. I came back to view my photos on 11/4 and boy was I surprised...there were so many photos to choose from that I felt overwhelmed. They made me look and feel great so I wanted to purchase everything. Unfortunately, I had a budget and needed to stay within my number so I ended up choosing 24 shots out of the hundreds...which was not an easy task. If I ever need to have another boudoir session done, this will be my place of choice. I've already recommended them to my sisters and my niece. Great experience with great people! read more

Decided to treat myself for my birthday. I was a little nervous, but was totally comfortable when it was time to take the photos. Christina was really nice and still helped me a bit with my hair and make-up after choosing to do it myself. Next time I'll pay to have it done there. There are corsets and boas there for you to use and you get to use a robe to and from the dressing room. Christina showed me different poses to do and I felt completely at ease. I felt like a model for the day. It would be so much fun to come back for a bachelorette party. I can't wait to see my photos in a couple of days. read more

I purchased the boudoir session through Living Social for a birthday present for my boyfriend. I was nervous and excited. Christina was amazing and Dwayne was great at blending into the background. The hardest part was modeling for sure! Those poses are challenging! But looking at the photos was work every straining muscle to hold that pose. The experience was splendid, although a bit stressful just because modeling is hard work. I ended up purchasing a package for 50 digital images that was on special. They set me up with a payment plan, which was great because I was broke for the holidays. I did have a fair amount of issues figuring out how to navigate the website to get my images. It took a while to figure out how to download the images and then download software to unzip the folder. But once I did that, it was great to have all those images. Christina was wonderful answering my many pestering questions through the whole process. I printed up an album through Walgreens and the boyfriend loved them! Worth every penny. I wanted a cute Valentine's Day present for my boyfriend, so I went on livingsocial to see what deals they had. I always seen those boudoir shoot vouchers around, so I decided why not give it a try?? So I did and called DNA photography. It took a while to get ahold of somebody but Christina shot me an email and we set up a date. Christina and Dwayne are very welcoming and funny and helped my experience feel comfortable. The voucher was $60 I believe for 3 digital images. Pretty cheap so I decided why not. They really push the 1000$ packages on you though, but I really did not want to spend that much. I love my images also! Now I am part of the DNA spokesmodels, and I get to shoot with Dwayne for free doing different themed shoots with another girl. I enjoy their services! read more

1. I purchased a session through Livingsocial which included hair and makeup. I was expecting professional hair and makeup... Which I did not get. I felt that my hair and makeup was a rushed job. I did not like the way my hair or how my makeup looked. If I knew that my hair and makeup was going to be done like that I would have come with my hair and makeup already done. It also stated that I would get refreshments which I did not get. 2. The packages are very expensive and I put a deposit down for a huge package but after thinking it through I decided not to go through with the expensive package.... Especially since I was not satisfied with my look. 3. I have recently received my proofs and although I like some of the photos, I don't feel that it's worth the money that they are asking for the pictures. I have an existing credit from my deposit and my Livingsocial package but with the choice of packages, I would still need to pay more out of pocket....and I don't really want to do that. I would rather find another place to re-do my photo session with the hair and makeup I'm satisfied with. I was also told that it cost $125 for ONE digital photo!!! How convenient since that's how much my deposit is!!!! THIS SEEMS TO BE A BAIT AND SWITCH and I will be contacting the BBB! 4. With all that... Christina is super sweet and is really helpful with making sure that your best features are showing.... (Although.... Some of the angles that they took of me were HORRIBLE!) Just be sure to ask who will be doing your hair and makeup and maybe ask the background of the hair and makeup artist before making the appointment. Better yet.... FIND ANOTHER PLACE! Received a Living Social deal for my birthday from my mother in law. I had a difficult time getting in contact with anyone for an appointment. Finally I was contacted and able to get an appointment and even though it was past the voucher date it was still honored. Christina and Dwayne was very nice however I did not enjoy my session. I felt and looked awkward in all the poses. My photos were photoshop and airbrushed where it did not look natural or sexy. I purchased a package that was offer that day and I wish I would of waited to see the finished product before purchasing any packages. This is from my girlfriend Marie Morales who does not have a yelp account but wanted to post her review. Although Christine (the hair/makeup artist) and Dwayne (the photographer) were great and my photos came out good, I would NOT recommend this service. I had purchased a package through living social over a year ago that was to include two 8 x 10 prints that I've already paid for and I have yet to receive my prints. In order to get prints, you have to go through the website but the website forces you to pay for the prints you're ordering even though I had already paid for them. I must have called and/or emailed customer service over 20 times over the course of several months to get assistance in ordering my prints and not once did anyone email or call me back! Not once! I finally ended up saving my pics to a USB and printing them elsewhere. I must have paid over $700 in total for my shoot and prints and ended up having to get my prints done elsewhere. I will never use this service again! read more

I would Highly recommend DNA to anyone. I saw their add on Facebook and liked what I saw. I wanted to get boudoir photos done for my husband for Valentines day this year, so I called and left a message. Christina called me back with in the hour. She answered all my questions and I was looking forward to my photo shoot. As I got closer to my appointment though I was starting to get cold feet. Mind you Im in my early forties, so everything isn't as firm as it used to be. Plus I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and sexy isn't something I consider myself lol. Doing this was so way outside of my comfort zone and I was terrified. I made myself follow through with it and Im so glad I did. I went there straight from work ( Wasn't at all prepared outfit wise ) I had just bought a few things the night before and hoped it would look good or at least they could photoshop it into looking good lol. Christina met me in the parking lot and took me to the studio. They had food, drinks etc, and the place was very nice.I was pretty nervous still. I met the photographer Dwayne and he was very nice. Was tripping because how was I going to have a guy photograph me with very little closes on. Again its sooooooooo out of my comfort zone. I don't even like being on the beach in a bikini. I drove all the way there so there was no backing out now. Christina was awesome she helped me with everything from what to wear how to wear it, Did my hair and makeup. She talked to me the whole time and made me feel very comfortable. When it was time do get started she gave me a robe to wear into the studio from the makeup room. I was so nervous I felt like I was going to pass out. Anyway we got started and I didn't get what I was suppose to do ( I can't even follow an aerobics class let alone try to pose sexy for pictures) . Christina was awesome though!! She directed me how to look, how to move, how not to look etc. Dwayne was taking the pictures, I could tell that photograph is his passion because you could tell when he was happy with a shot. I really started to feel comfortable and even sexy. When I was done Christina made an appointment for me to come back and pick out my pictures with my husband for the book. She said they would send me a couple of pictures in a week so I could see what they looked like. When I was ready to leave Dwayne carried my stuff out and made sure I safely got into my car. I would absolutely recommend DNA Photography! I am a 42 year old mom and very critical of my body. I definitely felt anxious as I drove into the parking lot on the day of my appt. As I anxiously await my photos, I feel compelled to write this review. Unlike many people who do these photos I am not a novice, I'm a pro at this! I have done many shoots over the years since I was 19. Now as I approach 40 I decided yet again to treat myself. This shoot was a birthday gift to myself. I originally chose DNA because of their ad on living social. I liked the deal but after doing some research,I decided to commit to buy. I liked their unique partnership , photography and choreographer. As I said I've done this before and Christina's role is a much needed one,after all. Dwayne can be free to take the best shots if he doesn't have to direct me too. So I jumped at it. Now I'm not shy,and I knew what to expect from previous experience. I made my appointment almost 2 months in advance, gave them my why,and when and what I wanted. We made my appointment. A am appointment, which I couldn't of been happier with since I am a morning person. On the phone Christina was to the point and very professional, so I had no worries of how she would handle the shoot. And my shoot day, I of course arrived early, because the studio is tricky to find once your in the parking lot. And I'm just anal about time. I was about 15 minutes early in the morning which can be a big deal. It wasn't, they both were there and took me right in and got started! My hair was already done,due to the fact I have very short hair and didn't want any set backs. I do recommend the same to anyone with short hair, Christina was set up with curling irons, but they are prepared to touch up and ascent not work miracles! She does not have a magic wand, so please keep this in mind! The instructions were to come with base makeup on but I don't wear foundation,so I had none to put on. No worries, it was handled! I liked the look,not too much at all. Next I was to pull out my outfits and Christina was going to sort them out in the order she wished to go. As I said I've done this before and my last shoot, was totally nude, so for this session I had little need for much clothing, I prefer less and since this was just for me, why not in my birthday suit! My cousin teased me and asked "Do they know you plan on being naked?" Again no worries, they both made me feel as comfortable and natural as I normally do. Side note it was warm and toasty in the studio, a big plus since I had little on! The photo shoot in total took about 2 hours. And I swear Dwayne took hundreds of photos. It was a grew experience, Christina was grew as I thought she would be. I have large breast and kind of a small frame, so if I or any woman in gravity lays ,sits or breathes a certain way, look like I'm choking. She caught and corrected that! Dwayne was quick and to the point. Fun and playful while professional and respectful (after all I was wearing nothing more than jewelry,stilettos and a smile). I had a great time! I can't wait until I get my photos, I already have plans for where to put them! I would highly recommend this duo for your next gift! Update..... I got my photos back and I loved them!
