On Saturday May 22nd I called D&D towing and got a quote to haul a 1968 VW bus that was modified into a promo vehicle with a surfboard sign attached to the top of it. I explain this to the dispatcher at DND towing and she quoted me $85 cash or $100 if I use credit card. I also explained to her that VW bus had a sign built on top of it for Lucy's restaurant in Biloxi. I said to her I can text you a photo of it if you'd like and she said no need, said it would still only be $100 if I pay by credit card. The driver showed up 45 minutes later and took a photo of the vehicle and sent it to his boss Keith Helton owner of D&D towing. The driver then loaded the vehicle on to the flatbed tow truck and we started heading towards Lucy's. I was following the driver in my truck and about 5-6 miles down the road of a 10 mile trip to Lucy's the driver pulled over and flag me to come to his vehicle. I said what's wrong? He said my boss just called me and told me he's going to have to charge you $400 to haul this to Lucy's. I said to him we're almost halfway there and now you telling me this? I said continue driving to Lucy's and I will talk to your owner once we arrive to the destination. Once we got to Lucy's the driver said I need to get paid before I can unload the vehicle. I said please call your boss I want to know why it's now $400. I spoke with Keith and he said because it was an oversized load his insurance regulations are too costly and he has to charge $400 for this delivery. I asked the owner what makes it oversize? He said we're afraid that the sign on top of the VW bus would blow off and my liability insurance would go skyrocket through the roof. I said, oversize? He said yes it's oversized and we can hit power lines with it. I said I measured it and it was 12 feet from the ground to the top of the sign. You're allowed 14 feet on the road you should know this you're an owner of a tow truck company. Now you're just trying to throw out excuses and BS me to charge $400. I said I'll pay your $100 fee that I was quoted and not a penny more. He said if you don't pay the $400 I will tow it back to my yard and impound it and it will cost you more. I said your secretary quoted me $100. He said doesn't matter I'm the owner. I said why didn't you tell me this when we were at my shop loading the vehicle I would not have had your driver stop loading the vehicle, instead of telling me this five miles down the road??. We got into a heated argument at that point and he then threatened me by saying you should watch the tone of your voice with me, you don't know who you're talking to and you don't know who you're dealing with. I said are you threatening me now? He said I can come down and have a personal talk with you if you'd like. I said you are being so very unprofessional and you are a thief ripping me off but I will pay your fee if that's what it takes to get the promo BW off of your truck knowing that you're holding it hostage for more money. I called his secretary back to give her my credit card information and I asked her why she quoted me$100 when her boss changed it to $400 and she said you didn't tell me it had a sign attached to it. I said are you kidding me? Now you are just outright lying. I told you it had a sign attached and I said I'd send you a picture of it and you didn't want one. But here's my credit card information so she took my payment and sent me a bill via text stating it was paid in full. The driver started to unload the VW Bus, halfway off the ramp and he then stops to answer his phone and puts the vehicle back on his truck and says my owner Keith just called me and said he refunded your money and now wants cash instead. I said I just paid for it drop the truck and you can leave, the driver said you've been refunded so now the payment needs to be made again this time in cash. My boss Kevin said you were going to dispute it on your credit card and he will be screwed. I said the only one getting screwed here is me. And Furthermore if he's afraid I'm going to dispute it then he must no he's screwing me in the first place. At that point I called Biloxi police to file a report of theft, threats, and blackmail. Biloxi police officer showed up and he was nothing more than an obese rude obnoxious trigger happy control freak with his hand on his gun as if he was going to shoot someone. The police officer listen to what I had to say and then talked to the tow truck driver and they were laughing and then police officer turned to me and said this is a civil matter I can't do anything here you'll have to talk to your attorney. The officer knew exactly what the tow truck driver was doing because DND Towing works for the city impounding vehicles. I was forced to pay the $400 or have the vehicle towed to the impound for nonpayment which is blackmail. The owner of this company has not heard the end of this. Terrible service workers are rude and not willing to work with you when they have your stuff

These guys are cons. I had a AAA tow from my house to Advance Collision (7.8 miles) 3 miles which are covered by AAA (leaving 4.8 miles) I get charged for 11 miles plus $5.00 credit card fee. When I refuse, driver (Jonathan) gets in front of my car and tries to load it. When I stand in front driver says he is going to have me arrested and the car seized. When I call owner (Keith) he tells me that GPS is 11 and when I confront him with the 7.8 he tells me that I need to live in reality and to get off the phone because I have been tying up his phone line for half hour. When I tell him it's been 9 minutes and that it's because they have had me on hold. He tells me to take it up with AAA. I filed complaint with AAA and the weird thing is that on Friday night I had car towed with no problems with the same company. I hope AAA drops them off their service provider list. read more

Horrible service. I am 4 months pregnant, had to wait over an hour to get my vehicle towed. They are incompetent, my insurance contacted them twice, and they still didn't have me in their system. The driver called me asking where I was located. SERIOUSLY? There is no communication between drivers and dispatcher. Very very unpleasant, rude, and if I wasn't covered for this towing I would have got another company to do it. Very unhappy with their service. If you are stranded on the road with no light in sight and D-N-D towing is the ONLY roadside assistance that is available, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! They SUCK!!!!! My son was stranded with a flat tire on US 49 for over an hour and after 3 calls THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. The dispatcher was unconcerned (sounds like she could have been asleep). I wonder what it would have been like if it was her son stranded. I have never in all my years been this disappointed in ANY service that I've received. I urge you to strongly reconsidered making this grave mistake. I placed a call to Ray's Automotive and Towing and in less than 5 minutes, my son had the service that he should have had a long time ago. read more

car was towed after daughter was in wreck. went to look at the car to see if I could drive it away or if I had to have it towed to mechanic after I pay fee. asked to get personal items out of the car. lady in office refused to let me look at my car and to get my things out. there is a huge sign that says you can look at your car if accompanied by employee. I got on phone with an attorney and was pacing in parking lot facing the yard where cars were stored. the lady pushed a button for he night time fence to close and she closed it in my face. said I could not look at nor get things out until bill was paid. received letter saying car would be auctioned off. this pertains to vehicle only not my personal belongings. if they refuse to let me get things isn't that called theft? read more
