Easy to talk to, and I think he lives at his office because he always answered my email so promptly. We closed today and are truly thankful for him and Green Mortgage NW.

I waited to write the review since the COVID-19 pandemic was in full force at the time of my initial query. While I was very disappointed to have not received any responses to my initial inquiries, I was VERY impressed to have received a personal response on Yelp within minutes of my posting my original review, apologizing for my not having received any responses, and asking for supplemental information so that they could investigate and try to find a root cause. They checked their systems and couldn't find my contact attempts. Their demonstrated concern for potential customers was very evident, as was their professionalism in taking the time to write a thorough and thoughtful response as well as their desire to find and fix the root cause. I'm not sure when or if I'll be in the market for a mortgage broker service again, but if I am, I'll definitely give Green Mortgage Northwest a shot before I contact anybody else based on their excellent response.

We didn't know what was possible or how to go about it, but Steph and her team walked us through every step and provided support and advice along the way. The entire process was fast, seamless, and so painless. At the end of it all, we couldn't believe we had such a smooth experience. Steph and Tina were really kind, thoughtful, and awesome to us both the entire time. There's no doubt that we will be using them again in the future when the time comes!

Steph started conversations with us by asking how much we'd like to pay a month, instead of telling us how much we could afford. On each property we were considering, Steph made sure we were confident in each of our offers by sharing with us complete breakdowns of how property taxes, insurance, down payment sizes, and total loan amounts, influence our monthly payments. I felt that Steph's team sometimes did wonders to make our offers as affordable yet competitive as possible. We got a great mortgage rate, during a period where mortgage rates are quite high. For very competitive houses, we even qualified for some appraisal gap coverage assistance. I'd highly recommend Steph's team at Cross Country Mortgage (Tina and Heidi) if you are looking to finance the purchase of your home.

Hmmm... I find it interesting that anyone could have had a positive experience with Julee Felsmann…read more I found her to be rude, unreachable and genuinely angry. Why Julee would not return my calls, tried to avoid talking to me when I called into the office and was absolutely rude to me when she was forced to lower herself into having a conversation with me- I'm not sure. What I am sure about is that she wasn't evil to me until I started asking a lot of very specific questions about the origination points on the loan. Once I began questioning her about that, how she gets paid, and why the loan should go through her instead of our bank, she was completely cold to me. I don't really understand why, as every resource I could come across strongly recommended that I ask tough questions to make sure no one was getting taken advantage of. Still, Julee seemed to be offended that I asked her to account for some of the fees that appeared to be pretty darn high. She was so offended, in fact, that she actually asked my agent "what my problem" was and, according to my agent, had some other choice things to say about me. What a complete lack of professionalism!!! In keeping this review balanced, I should point out that Julee does seem to possess a very intimate knowledge of loans, markets and the origination process. In knocking this review off-balance once again, I would suggest that she uses that intimate knowledge to take advantage of her clients at every turn, and aggressively avoid, as well as actively disparage, any of her clients that dare question her. I would recommend in the strongest possible terms that she is a mortgage broker who should be avoided at all costs. EDIT: Please note that most of the positive reviews Julee has received are from Re/Max agents who work with her. These aren't legit reviewers, these are people who are giving business to her in hopes of getting referrals back. For the sake of your wallet and your sanity, do not trust these other reviewers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR A HOME MORTGAGE IN PORTLAND!!!!! Most importantly do not use JULEE…read moreFELSMANN. I can say this is one of 3 reviews I have ever written in my life. But it is so important that people do there research before using any Mortgage broker, let alone a referral! I will start off by staying I met with JULEE, at Equity Home Mortgage Portland, over 4 months ago. During that initial meeting, Julee told me and my husband that she is a helpful, communicative person, who takes great care of her clients. NOT THE CASE MY FRIENDS. I am now 8 months pregnant, so not like I have nothing else going on in life. But Julee assured me and my husband she would help us through this process and make it as simple as possible. I know buying a home is complicated, this is my second home purchase. So I understand the ins and outs. Here is the PROBLEM. Julee, whom I was referred to my my Broker at ReMax, Brad Wolfe....who also assured me that "she is the best in the biz"....should have known better after he said that. Has been UNREACHABLE, RUDE, and has had a general LACK OF CONCERN OVER OUR MORTGAGE PROCESS AND TIMELINES. I have gotten many emails, from Julee or one of her 3 different "TEAM MEMBERS" over the course of this process. While I had ask Julee in writing over 4 times to please call me if she needs us to sign something pertaining to our loan. Time and time again....I would get a random E-Sign email from a different person at Equity Home Mortgage, whom I had no clue who they were, or what I was even signing for?!! Worst of all, I have asked 6 times for proactive communication on her end to help thought this process....NEVER DID THIS HAPPEN. When ever Julee has called me back personally, its way after the end of the business day, 6:30 or 7:00pm where I no longer have email/printer access to even sign paper contract. TODAY WAS THE WORST!!!! My husband and I, 3 weeks away from our due date, are told we will close on our house finally after many, many delays on Monday 6/13/2016. I got a call from Julee today at 6:30pm 6/10/2016. (Keep in mind we are signing our closing docs at the title company on Monday). She tells me she wants to change our closing costs at the last min. She goes to explain the credit that the seller gave us for our flooring. Would be an issue for us in closing our loan. We had negotiated our closing fees and flooring credits over a month ago....so Julee has had this information for some time. But the is how she operates....waiting until the last min, and having no regard for her clients. At this point she tries to play me and my husband against each other. -MY BEST ADVISE IS NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IN THE PORTLAND AREA FOR HOME MORTGAGE, NOT WORTH THE DRAMA, UN-RETURNED CALLS, AND LACK OF SERVICE OVER ALL! Your home is the biggest purchase you will ever make. To have someone not give you any effort at all is sad!!! Specially when you consider how much they are paid!!! RUN FOLKS!
