Noah is super friendly and informative! Wear comfy play clothes if you're looking for a true rock hound experience or just buy from the yard! Absolutely stunning finds. A short 10 minutes drive from the south entrance of The Petrified National Park. 100% kid friendly! read more

Rhonda and her granddaughter were so sweet and fun. Totally recommend after visiting the National Park. Can dig, collect, or buy petrified wood and stones. Family operated business that's privately owned the land since the 1920's. They're open 7 days a week, just pull in down the long drive. read more

Rhonda is a sweetheart. She helped us pick good spots to dig and provided tools for us to use. There are many different size pieces that live up to the name rainbow. It's fun to dig for your own discoveries and the price is beyond reasonable for the amount and variety of petrified wood. read more

We went to Dobells last year and collected a bunch of beautiful petrified wood. Noah was great to deal with and loaned us some tools and a bucket to use since we weren't that prepared. We'll be going back again this year and we are much better prepared!! Looking forward to getting more beautiful and colorful petrified wood! read more

Don't bother. If owner likes whatever you've picked out, he'll ghost you, leave you out in the cold and stop answering his phone until you leave. What a colossal waste of time. Noah should be ashamed of treating customers the way he treated us this morning! I had a pocketful of money and was prepared to spend it with him. Spent over 3 hours waiting for something he said would be ready for us this morning. Got nothing except the bucket of smaller pieces we picked out and paid for last night. Thank God I didn't pay him for the 3 sets of bookends he was supposedly getting ready for me in advance! read more

Established in 2015.

The 4th generation DoBell to be on the ranch and sharing some the best and most colorful petrified wood in the world.

Meet the Business Owner: Noah D.

The 4th generation in the family. After working as a pipe fitter for years returning home to help my father Gordon DoBell. Not knowing the first thing in lapidary work or how big of a role that the ranch has played in the mineral world. Luckily my previous experience in the construction field translated to the petrified wood world from the excavation to the polishing.
