I'm not sure what's going on in that office. It has now taken a week and my daughter prescription has still not been sent to the pharmacy. I have called numerous times even called over the weekend to speak to the on call dr and nothing. The dr/nurse practitioner Danielle Vilsaint does not have the greatest of personalities...more rude than anything. I was a cruel and notorious criminal when I arrived, until the receptionist Zaria took me under her wing, with grace and compassion. Zaria expedited my healthcare, and she demonstrated such kindness, that I became a law-abiding citizen right away, and the court exempted me from delinquent bootcamp. Now I can be proud of my virtue and integrity, and even prouder of the service I received at this clinic. I usually don't like to write reviews and I really do not care this doctors office but I continue to go because its close to my house and convenient. I had to go in yesterday and for the first time in years I was treated like a real patient. I had a check up appointment and the nurse I had was new, she was such a sweet and professional nurse. She took such good care of me, so kind and gentile, like I said first time in years. The blood test was like nothing. I don't know her name but what a great addition to this office, I actually wont mind going back. As I was leaving I noticed she had student on her ID, just want to say it was a pleasure. read more

I only passed by this place once, but the docs here are SO health centered... they dont wanna take your money, they just wanna improve your life! Not only do they follow up with you after your appointment, they give you strategies OUTSIDE of medications to improve your health overall... while some practices like urgent care by NYU simply THRIVE by keeping you unhealthy so you go back to them more often, docs at doccare in Hauppauge care about your long term health, they care about your lives. And although the wait here may be long on the busy days, it is usually never over a 10 minute wait if you book an appointment in advance and come on an off day--my job gives me off on fridays, and when i go, i only have to wait like 5 mins in a very clean reception room and the docs are there to help! I've been coming to this office for almost a year and have followed the different programs and spent a ton of money which has led to nothing. I started the weight-loss program three months ago and they told me that the first month would be injections the actual program started on month 2. I'm now on month 3 and I've spent $600 and the program has yet to be started. Do yourself a favor and find a better doctor... this program is a huge waste of your time and money. read more

I am beyond fed-up with this place. The people seem to be nice until you call and need something that does not fit into their day. THREE times I was waiting on results calls for seperate tests and they never called me with them, until days later I had to call myself and deal with Samanthat at the front desk who never lets you get a word in edgewise. The last time I called for results a woman who did not initially identify herself got on the phone to tell me everything was fine. Upon me questioning what was found during my sonograms it became clear to me she DID NOT familiarize herself with my file or history and was just rushing me off the phone, I later found out her name was Joyce and she is a nurse there. Every person I have dealt with at this place has no bedside manner and I will never go back. Oh and heres the KICKER...as Dr. Markowitz was reading me the results of my bloodwork she literally said to me "wikipedia is a wonderful thing" as she googled my results! I literally felt like I was in a twilight zone....HORRIBLE. read more

they saved my life, im a diabetic, went from 550 blod sugars with a 13.9 a1c to a constant 130 and a1c of 6.5,, i know this girl kristy who wrote nasty things about carol , unfortunately carol wontgive out prescrptions for pain killers, just becasuse you say your in pain, perhaps if you had surgery or were diagnosed with a ailment that allows you to receive those types of drugs then you would be taken seriously,, carol markowitz is a amazing medical specialist with a great bed side manner and talks to you in a languague you can understand , instead of using medical terminology which you cant, when you call listen to the machine hit 0 ask for veronica to be transfered, theres usualy about 30-40 patients a day , so if they dont get back to you asap be patient and be kind, not nasty , becasue other patients have to hear what your saying when your screaming, everyone identifys themselves on the phone its the "law" especially when giving you test results back its a hippa law, ,, well i trust them with my family , best regards douglas ginnegar seaford new york , yea travel from seaford to hauppauge a 30 mile trip down southern state pky to the sag to lie to exit 56 22 minutes,, because these doctors care more about teh patients then they do about the $$$$$$ and thats a rare quality in todays time , read more

I spoke to him about my MRIs and he looked at me like he didn't even care about my pain. He seriously looked and treated me like I was a nobody. Today will be the LAST TIME I ever step foot into Doc Care. I've never in all my years have had a horrible experience there or at any other medical office. I've been going to Doc Care for years,but I was not aware that Carol Markowitz left the office. I felt the receptionist should've advised me prior to my appointment, but hey I can't expect everyone to do that. I then met with nurse practitioner, Christine (have no idea of her last name nor do I care). She was extremely unprofessional...she literally was arguing with me over my symptoms and acted as if I was crazy and I'm making stuff up. She became loud and obnoxious to the point that I know the receptionist could hear her. I was so upset that I was tearing because not only did she make me feel uncomfortable and terrible, but she did not even resolve my problem. She is not a nice person and I was fuming!!! I will never go there again. Even though my doctor left, I would've still considered staying because of the distance, but at the end of the day...I will find somewhere else. I will be reporting Ms. Christine because she doesn't deserve to work at a medical office when she is suppose to make customers feel welcome and at ease. She made me feel terrible and completely ruined my night! PLEASE Don't go to Doc Care because they clearly don't know how to hire the right people! Doc Care is done in my eyes! This place is so unprofessional, starting from the receptionists. I scheduled an appointment for my mom two weeks ago for 10/01/14 at 5:45 pm. I left work early and made it to their office at 5:37. We waited in the waiting room for a very long time. There was no one in the waiting room except one patient that came at 6:15. No one called us until 6:30 pm. At 6:15 a another patient stepped in and the nurse practitioner, Carol A. Markowitz took her inside. Finally at 6:30 another nurse called us and placed us in one of the rooms and asked for the reason of the visit. I told her that my mom suffers from ear pain and painful arthritis in her thumbs. We were left inside the room for 15 more minutes and the nurse practitioner, Carol came to us with a bad attitude and asked how we were doing. I said: "Well not that fine, because the appointment was at 5:45 and to it took too long". Carol started raising her voice and and yelling at me in front of my mom, my 5 year old daughter and all the other nurses: "Do you know that I woke up at 6 am today, I have not eaten, and I have not used the bathroom, I am very tired and you complain for your appointment?". I was shocked from her arrogance and I replied: " I believe I just said the waiting time took a little longer and I I am not here to argue with you! I am here for my mom and that is all!". Carol said: "That is enough, you ruined my day and I am not going to see your mom! You must leave the room!" I told Carol that it took me two weeks for that appointment and I did not do anything to her to throw us out. But Carol went to the main desk and told every one else with a loud voice (so embarrassing for me, my mom and my daughter too) to discharge and take my mom out from her list. I had no choice but leave. Before I left I told Carol: "What kind of a doctor would throw out her patient? Shame on you and your staff too that do not know how to run this place!". It was so unfair for us the way we were treated and she was so arrogant and so unprofessional that she does not deserve to even be a nurse practitioner. I wasted my time with her and we had nothing done by the end of the day. We ended home at 8 pm. It was such a terrible experience. I am glad now that I know who Carol A. Moscowitz is and my mom deserves a better doctor to see her. I would never, never recommend anyone to be seen by this lady (nurse practitioner) Carol A. Markowitz. S.B read more

If I could give it a negative I would I'm so fed up it's crazy my husband and I where long time patients NOT because of the place the wait time was HORRIBLE but seeing Carol kept us going she was amazing and knew everything no matter what we felt she fixed it BUT Carol wound up leaving and it was very frustrating NOT to know until I needed an apt sorry but I'm not gonna sit and wait 6hrs for a new random dr that might be good or bad NOT worth the wait. So I switched drs offices and both my husband and I had filled out release forms for the last 2yrs to be sent to the new drs OK reality check anyone who goes knows waiting for your scripts to be sent to the pharmacy takes A LONG TIME especially if your NOT on top of them at the office I've waited a week for my acid reflux pills not fun so why would I think medical records would be any different smh so I had my new drs submit a 2yr request form and surprise surprise it didn't happen so I called and was told by Stacey in doc care medical records you can't miss her she's got a very scratchy voice and the worst attitude the first time I spoke with her she told me to come to the office I told her gas wise I can't swing it can she please fax it over so I gave it a couple of days and no documents so I called back doc care and she said I mailed them twice lol I can't but ok I called back my new dr they said they received mine but Not my husbands so I called back doc care yet again letting her know I'm gonna be in the area can I please pick it up to be told now since "supposedly she sent it" 2xs it's gonna have to be paid for why would I even entertain that I'm gonna have to pay for our medical records mine was received but my husband who you said you mailed out his 1 envelope but that's missing then you say he went like 2 times in the last 2yrs I've gotta pay for something that YOU STACEY where asked to fax over smh shows you hadn't even entertained it and then you wanna have attitudes not give out your last name because yup I told you I was gonna expose how horrible you and the office is so all who's looking for a drs office please DO NOT entertain this one read more
