I went to the urgent care for an infection in my hand from a cut. Dana NP was so helpful and thorough! Thank you so much for your care!

Doc Dan and staff were very helpful and courteous. Got me in an out in 1/2 hour. Even coordinated with Kapler's for a prescription

I went there last Thursday with a very severe sore throat. I also had a fever. They checked my…read moreears, looked in my throat and said my throat looks fine. Swabbed for strep - negative. Gave me an oral steroid to drink (did nothing) and sent me away. They did not do a Covid test. Turns out, I have Covid and now some in my family have it too. Why would they not do a Covid test while I was there? Unfortunately, this is the only facility covered by plan, but I will never go back there.

I went to AtlantiCare Urgent Care in Manahawkin, yesterday, with an ear infection. It was a…read moreseamless and positive experience, which is both rare, and what everyone wants from a Doctor's office visit. The office is practicing Covid-safety measures, having patients sign-in in the front vestibule and then wait in their cars until they are called back from the front desk staff. The staff did the standard check-in paperwork/questions with me over the phone, to limit the number of people in the office at one time. I appreciated that, both as a safety measure and because I dislike filling out the paperwork at any Dr.'s office. I was the 2nd person to sign in when they opened at 8:30. The wait time was short - maybe 10 minutes? The staff has excellent bedside manner. In fact, they were delightful. I believe 4 different people helped me - Dr. Bryan Barrett, and Becky and I think a Gina (or a Rita? Sorry!). The mood amongst the staff was upbeat. They seem to actually like each other and like working with each other. It turned out I had a fever too, and then all of a sudden I was shaking and sweating and my blood pressure dropped while I was in the chair. They had me lay down. A nurse took my blood sugar. Dr. Barrett and a nurse stayed with me until my blood pressure came back up. They did not rush me out or leave me in the room by myself. The Dr. and I talked about other health questions I had. He was just lovely and the staff is lovely too. I will be back...but hopefully not soon. :)

They took me right away and could not have been nicer. Front desk, the NP who treated me, the xray tech - all top notch. They diagnosed my shoulder, gave me a script and I was on my way. Great place!

I did something stupid and sliced my finger- needing stitches. Luckily a CityMD in Brooklyn was…read moreopen and did an amazing job putting them in. I was told by the doctor there to come back to a CityMD 7 days later to get them removed. This was right before Easter and I had planned to visit family that week- no big deal- I saw that there was a CityMD in Manahawkin and I figured I would have no trouble getting them out there. First, there is parking in the lot- however not alot by the CityMD which is next to a driving school which uses alot of the spaces. Not a great situation if someone is having medical issues. When you enter- reception is incredibly lovely and polite. The checkin app wasn't working for me (it worked fine in Brooklyn) so the receptionist manually put in my information. I waited for awhile. Apparently they thought I saw the doctor already- and I had to remind everyone that I was there. I entered the room to see the doctor. I took off the bandage I had so he could see the wound and he never looked at it. I showed him the note from the previous doctor and he said he doesn't take stitches out in less than 10 days because "its his license not mine." He said I shouldn't be using that kind of bandage, gave me two t band aids and then charged me the $75 copay and that was it. Three days later (now on the 10th day) I went back to the CityMD in Brooklyn and my stitches had healed into my hand which took over an hour to remove and was painful. Needless to say- I was upset about the entire situation and I'll try Atlantic Care next time I'm in town and need an urgent care.
