When I arrived around 12ish, they greeted me and were preparing the horses. Andre was on another ride, so I waited until he was finished. A lot of horses were saddled up and I noticed there was another group that was joining the ride. It was a group of 6! Thus, I knew this was going to be a slower paced ride. We did get a nice ride on the trails, and the majority were shaded. We did see some cows and donkeys too. It was a full two hour ride. We did get to trot a little, but there was no opportunity to lope or canter due to the large group. While Andre and Andrea looked to be nice people, and the ride was fine, the reason for the two stars is the treatment of the horses. The horse I rode looked pretty under weight. It seemed that many others too looked skinny. That is sad as last year, my horse looked ok. Also, it looked like the horses didn't have a break in between rides, so they might be overworked. This was noticed by my horse friends, as well as the other group. They were purposely not following Andre's instructions to not have the horses eat during the ride. They were also asking how much longer before the ride ends, and questioning whether the horses were going to be ridden on the next ride afterwards. While I do like Andre and Andrea, it is the welfare of the horses that have the highest priority. If they are not treated well, they shouldn't be ridden. The high reviews from others are from customers who had great rides like me, but may not have noticed the conditions of the horses, or the horses were treated better previously. I beg Andre and Andrea to please make sure the well being of the horses are the first priority, especially for 65 per hour on a group ride.

All I know is I felt like I was at my cousin's house and they happened to have animals. There were no directions or explanations...until it came time to pay. Now that part was explained perfectly. Honestly, I probably could have seen the same thing at my local shelter and saved $30. I'm hoping the money goes toward helping the animals, but it's really hard to tell. They have goats, plenty of birds, llamas, pigs, and horses. I wouldn't call it a true petting zoo because most of the petting is done through a gate. If you want a horse ride, you have to ask. No one offers or tells you about it. Everything looked like it could use some updating or repairs, and the overall vibe from most of the staff was, "Please hurry up so we can get back to what we were doing." A couple of employees were pleasant and helpful, but they weren't going above and beyond. They simply gave us what we asked for. Overall, I probably won't be back. At least my $30 went toward helping the animals...I hope.

The booking experience was super easy, and everything I could possibly want to know beforehand was written out clearly. (I hate when websites have no info and just say something, like, call Bob at xxx to book now) On the day of, John greeted us at the end of the property's driveway, which I appreciated, as my dad can get lost easily going to new places. My parents and I rode horses in their late teens/early 20s, and they were very kind and well-trained. Our guide was Mayann (sorry, if I'm spelling wrong), and she was friendly and knowledgeable. My mom is very petite and maybe the least confident rider out of us, so Mayann offered to have her horse clipped to my mom's for the ride, which made her feel more comfortable. The experience is pretty pricey for an activity (my total was $314), but I imagine it can't be too far off from other ranches. Plus, we all left feeling like we had a really good experience. Compared to another ride we did years ago elsewhere, this one was so nice. The trail loop around Treetops Park is very shaded and secluded. It really feels like you're in the forest on a casual ride with your horse. I also appreciate that the staff takes photos for you during the ride, and that they were kind enough to chat with us and let us hang out with the animals afterwards. A different riding experience we had years ago had us ride senior horses next to a canal and the street. It was out-and-back style with no scenery except the cars driving by. There was 0% shade, the property felt claustrophobic and the only photos I have of the experience are ones my dad took of me in the tiny corral. I would definitely recommend Just Ride and stop your horseback riding research here. Compared to others, the staff here makes the experience professional yet personable, and you can tell the horses here are very well taken care of.

He got to pet the farm animals, he loved the pony ride, he got to groom the horses, feed donkeys, play with chickens, and ended with some time playing in the playground with friends. It was such a fun experience. I can't wait to go back! Aside from this super fun event, the ranch offers riding lessons for kids and adults, you can host parties, they offer summer camp for kids, and other special events such as a yoga with horses!

Davie Ranch is a fabulous place for riding lessons with gorgeous horses suited for all experience…read morelevels. Linda is a master equestrian with a focus on safety and care for the rider and horse. I take my 2.5 year old for weekly lessons. He starts with grooming the horse and finishes with saying yeehaw!

Before coming in, Mandy was very helpful and responded quickly to my messages and questions. The day of the ride, the weather was great and my assigned horse, Spirit was just lovely. We got to explore a beautiful park that had a combination of wide, open spaces as well as smaller paths, completely surrounded by a variety of trees, vines and plants. I really appreciated the freedom and feeling of being away from the city. It might be helpful to mention that both Happi Farm and HGS share a location, however they are separate. In order to get to Hidden Stables you have to cross through Happi Farm, which can be a bit daunting, but honestly everyone worked swiftly to make sure people moved to the side & the animals were safe! worst barn in south florida. i have only continued to hear horror stories about how horribly their…read morehorses were treated and how awful of a person the barn owner, victor, is since i left. the ground is consistently nothing but mud, the barn itself is depressing and dirty, they will not follow any request you may have as to how your horse needs to be taken care of (they will usually do the opposite of what you ask). my horse was in the worst condition of her life at this barn, with countless vet visits. ask anyone in davie, and they will tell you if you care about your horse and your mental health, stay away from this barn.
