Inside. 5 tables only. Looks like this is a donut shop too!

Order at desk. They bring your food. A lot of Uber eats and only a few places to sit. Very smalll. Recommended by co workers. Had the snapper and fires with clam chowder. View is right by the boats and tours. Wasn't really sure how to get to. Parked in 2 hr parking at public park and walked into marina area. Omg that was the best fish I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend this place. It is a hole on the wall gem !

The fish was great. Not overly battered and perfectly crispy. The garlic and Parmesan fries were also really good. Get there early though because I think we came right during the rush and they were out of quite a few things we wanted to order.

We came here from Qualicum beach for a drive and of course fish and chips. We were going to go somewhere else, but the way they answered the phone was rude. To the fish (halibut) it is was lightly battered and the fish was fresh, just melted in your mouth. The fish had nice colour. The grilled halibut was delicious. The fish was moist and cooked to perfection. The taste buds were dancing just from the fish. The fries were good not too oily. The onion rings were delicious. Crispy and well cooked. I couldn't believe how good they were. The coleslaw was a nice touch to the cut of deep fried food taste. The tartar sauce was delicious. And finally the staff, they were very knowledgeable about their product and I found them very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for fish and chips and of course I will be back!

Cool restaurant it floats on the water! Good pricing and excellent service! Has lots of history behind the restaurant. Fish was really good I like mine a little more crunchy though. We also ordered grilled oysters and they gave us fried but all in all good place to go eat! Calamari was AMAZING

In this location's previous life as a different business, it was merely a walk up fish n chip window with a few seats inside and a handful of tables outside. Things have changed. Dockside Fish and chips has been in business at this incredible location for over a year now. It's located floating in the Coast Marina, a small marina it shares with a few other businesses and a couple small docks. Right near the ferry terminal that services Quadra Island, Dockside has ample seating outside and quite a few tables inside as well. The newly renovated interior shares space with the compact, efficient kitchen separated by a counter. I really love the feel of sitting outside, bobbing up and down with the waves. Dockside has table service and is licensed, which makes it a great little secret spot to have a beer from the limited selection that they offer and just enjoy the sea air on a warm day. The food, however, is mediocre bordering on.... read the complete review at: www.vagrantfoodies.blogspot.ca

Good fish and chip, other fried food as well. The location is a little difficult to find parking.

Red's Seaside Grill is based in Fords Cove on beautiful Hornby Island. I feel a little guilty…read moretelling the world about this place, as part of its charm is its remote setting and local clientele, but alas, the food was so tasty I feel it a crime against Red himself not to spread the word. Red's is based in a store that looks like a wooden fishing boat, very cute. Red himself and his serving staff have genuine island hospitality, and the fish is so fresh I think it almost leapt from my hands and back into its watery home, situated mere steps from the restaurant. All of the seating is outside and the view of Fords Cove is stunning. I recommend getting your "f&c's" to go and walk around the coast a few minutes over the sandstone to find a spot to watch the fishing boats cruise by. My halibut and chips were amazingly fresh with light crispy batter and the onion rings are KILLER -chunky and crispy with sweet onion with that x-factor that only comes with homemade goods. The condiment stand was packed with everything you need - vinegar, ketchup, sweet green relish, mustard....the list goes on. Red's knows how serve up island style food - honest, delicious and made with love.

Great fish & chips. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Expect a ten minute wait on average, but…read morethey'll yell out your name if you've gone for a walk (we usually wander down the dock to look at all the boats). To fully enjoy your meal, load up on the bounty of condiments and find a place to sit among the rocks along the water of Ford's Cove. (Note: Rumor has it that Red's is going to close this location by next year and open one closer to the Bakery or the Co-op. Hopefully they'll just add a 2nd location??)
