    They have duck!

Super view of the lake. Eat outside near the dock if you can. We had the fish and chips and will warn you that it's big enough for two people easily. Service was a bit slow, but we enjoyed our waiter once we were served.

We were offered the choice of sitting inside/outside, and chose to be seated outside. It was a pleasant and sunny late September day, so seemed like a good choice. The ducks mooching around for scraps were fun to watch. Beer selection would be adequate - though they were out of our first two choices. Eventually, we got a decent beer, and the bar manager made an extra effort to get us something that interested us. Started with pulled pork onion rings. The rings were well cooked, and tasty. Pulled pork was tender and juicy. It was very much like a croc-pot style pulled pork. Price and portion make it almost an entree. Taco pizza had an interesting description. A good taco pizza is hard to find. This is not a good taco pizza. The crust is crisp and would make a good pizza, just not a good taco pizza. The red tomato sauce base was a very rich sauce and appropriate for many other styles of pizza, just not a taco pizza. There were other items on the menu that were intriguing, so I might give this place another chance. The setting on the lake is wonderful. It was, overall, a pleasant place to dine.

    Beautiful view.

I cannot recommend this place. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seating outside on the deck. I asked the hostess who "Rowboat Joe" is (looks like a bar that rents space literally off the deck of Dockside). She giggled and said she didn't know. We were seated and ordered 2 coffees. The coffees came right out and we placed our order. Problem was they didn't give us sugar or creamer. We asked for those and waiting a good 5 minutes before we could drink our coffees. Oh, and when we got them, no spoons. Used our knives to stir the coffees. The food was terrible. I got pancakes with a side of home fries. The pancake was flat and literally tasteless. The home fries were frozen. Not homemade. They also gave us a maple syrup dispenser with a sliver of syrup in it and ketchup with 1 squirt left. Just another time we had to wait to eat our served food. We did not see the server again and had to ask for a coffee refill and again for the check. I asked if the take Apple Pay and again was told, "I don't know." In all, it had a vibe of very unhappy people going through the motions. I definitely do not recommend.

After a long day of fly fishing, Dockside is a good spot to sit down and have a couple drinks, especially on the deck during the summer.

Course after course we were absolutely blown away by the skill and wizardry of the chefs. The portions were generous! Our service was equally as outstanding (shout out to waitress Emily and bartender Richard!) and we observed the owner coming out and chatting with all of the tables. The staff genuinely seem happy to be here and are not only kind to guests but kind to each other! Do not let the lack of website fool you- this restaurant is cranking out the highest level/quality food I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. I am gluten free and mentioned this when I booked our reservation because I was concerned that I might not have many options with a set menu. Much to my surprise- the kitchen had made accommodations to make EVERY SINGLE ENTREE safe for me to eat. They even made gluten free pop overs in place of the complimentary bread course. I couldn't believe it . Every plate is an actual work of art and the taste is like nothing I've ever experienced. This place is an absolute gem and I can very easily see why the owner has been nominated and won awards.

They're is a deck with tables and lots of folks standing on it with cocktails in their hands. When we went inside we were immediately sat at a booth. As we walked past patrons who were eating, the food looked delicious and generously portioned. Our server took a minute to come over to us, giving us a chance to look at the menus. We decided on a Reuben $20 and upgraded to the onion rings rather than fried that cone with it. That was an upcharge of $4. The Etienne came on marble rye and was grilled to perfection. I think the sandwich could have used a bit more corned beef and dressing, but it was delicious. I gobbled it up! The onion rings were top notch, crunchy batter and thick cut onion. They were fried too the perfect golden brown and tasted so good. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which came with a side salad that was fresh and a breadstick that was warm, but didn't seem scratch made. The mac and chess was creamy with s but if crunchy topping, lots of cheesy goodness and my personal favorite, cavatappi pasta. Highly recommend this spot. My photo only shows 1/2 of my Reuben and an onion ring because I forgot to photo before eating...ooops!
