The service was just a teeny bit slow but the food was amazing and the servers were amazingly kind. I went out of my comfort zone and got the Spanish omelette and my friend got a normal breakfast plate. They had some amazing specials that sounded sooo good but I'm sadly on a low carb diet and couldn't get any. I asked some of the locals how they liked the food and they said they usually come every day or every other day and get something different every time and they never disappoint. Stopped for breakfast on the way out of Greenville this morning and were overall pretty satisfied with the food and the small town diner feel. The waitress was a little scatterbrained, but she had been there since 4:30 so you had to kind of cut her some slack. My mom and I both had the eggs benedict and they were pretty tasty. My dad also liked his "everything but the kitchen sink" dish, which had eggs, peppers and onions, and several kinds of meat. After eating here and listening in on conversations between the locals and the waitresses, we really got the feeling that this is an important local watering hole and the place definitely puts off the vibe of a tight-knit, welcoming community. read more

We've eaten here a few times and only had breakfast. Breakfast is solid comfort food, very well prepared, generous portions and fairly inexpensive. The food is great and the service is quick & friendly. Nothing spectacular, but given that this is Greenville, Maine, it's the best breakfast place in the area and lots of locals there. I think I am the only one giving an honest review. I won't complain about the house divided in to several random dining rooms, the silverware that never made it to the table or even the ironing board next to my chair, but if you can't scramble an egg and you call yourself a breakfast place, something is wrong. I am not big on breakfast so I chose scrambled eggs with toast and even that wasn't that great. My friend got the pancakes that looked half cooked and bacon that was almost raw. We came here twice during our stay at Moosehead Lake. The first time I had a cheeseburger, which was pretty good, but they didn't melt the cheese on the burger, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I ordered a cup of tea, and was brought Lipton. That could be ok, but when I went to the counter to pay, I was shocked to see a dozen tea varieties behind the counter. Why wasn't I offered one of those? I ordered the apple cinnamon pancakes, and they were ok. I originally thought that they had given me regular pancakes, as it took several bites to find the apples, and I couldn't taste any cinnamon. We enjoyed our trip to Auntie M's. Most breakfast items appear to be homemade. However the fried chicken is not. They have hand cut fries (if u ask for them) which are delicious (not too crispy but not soggy at the same time). I would not recommend the fish sandwich as it is similar to McDonald's. We have been going here for 30 years. The quality and taste of food has progressively gone downhill. The tuna salad sandwich is weak quality tuna and the serving size is very stingy. Enough tuna on both sides of sandwich to fit 1/4 sandwich. The Spanish omelet is some salsa from a jar. Regrettably, the pancakes no longer taste good. I do not know what has happened to this place. It was always the must go to place for my family a became an annual tradition. Now my kids do not even want to go for breakfast anymore. All that being said, the waitress staff are still wonderful. They have great selections and the following are the ones we ordered that we find fantastic: everything on it except he kitchen sink, egg benedict, egg florentine, and i forgot to mention that they have selections as well for their toast such as as rye, wheat, white and raisins. Let me tell you, the raisin toast is amazing especially when you asked it lightly done. by the way, this is the plaace where the locals go. nothing fancy but just great place. i really donot want to make a review because now everybody will see my review and the next time i go there, i am afraid that there will be a line, We also had a great server there by the name of Rica. My family and I have been camping at Moosehead for over a decade, and every year, after rising at the crack of dawn and throwing all our tents in the back of the truck, we smile our way down the road to Auntie M's in Greenville. It's the kind of cute little place that always seems to have people waiting to get a seat but never keeping them waiting that long. I've never had anything but their breakfast, but if the rest of the food is half as good, you'll have nothing to complain about. They make their own corned beef (delish), and have lots of unique breakfast combos that are all tasty. Did I mention it's all super cheap? We said we were in a hurry, ordered our food, and she let us pay while we waited for the food so we could leave as soon as we finished eating. I had the breakfast burrito and it was just right. Potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausage, green peppers, onions, cheese in a bowl, covered with hollandaise! Yum! The service was fast yet friendly and attentive.
