I came in yesterday and asked Clayton for an X Vape and pointed to the display case, I wanted one of the 4g vapes that I always buy and didn't realize there were also carts in the display case. He didn't clarify which I wanted and just sold me carts. He recognized me as a regular, and I didn't feel the need to check what was in the bag before leaving because I come here regularly and have never had issues. After getting to my car I realized the mixup, and went back inside less than a minute later. Clayton apologized and got his manager, Keith, then Clayton told us he couldn't do anything (that was all he said). Keith did not address us at all until Clayton asked him to speak to us. He then approached us with a very rude attitude and shortly told us there was nothing he could do, without seeking to clarify or understand what happened. He said he wasn't able to process a return since we left the building with the product - I wasn't aware of this policy but again, hadn't encountered this problem before. Keith told us multiple times that "it's on both of us", and refusing to admit fault of him or his staff. I worked in customer service for a long time and know that the customer is always right, even when it's frustrating, so I was just really shocked by his attitude. We were trying to spend more money to get bigger products, and if anything it would have been helpful for him to apologize and take accountability, then try to do anything to make it right. Instead he was cold, defensive, rude, laughed at us, and willingly signed away a regular customer. After arguing with us for a bit, he did say he "was going to" offer a discount on a cart battery, but it seemed like he had changed his mind already, and we were so frustrated with him we weren't willing to spend any more money there at that point. I'm a 23 year old woman and usually let stuff like this slide, but the way he treated us was so insanely unprofessional, and I refuse to ever come back to Medicine Man if that's the type of management being hired. Clayton repeatedly told us "I'm good at my job, if you had told me 4g I would've got it". - if he wasn't sure, shouldn't he have clarified? There were 2 products in the case after all. I asked for an X vape, so I thought it was clear I wanted a vape - not just a cartridge. That was 100% on him to clarify which I wanted. Keith also insisted that the package would have been bigger for a 4g so I should have known, but that's not true. I buy those exact 4g disposables regularly and the package was the same size, I didn't realize the mixup until feeling the shape of the cartridge and reading the fine print label that said 1000mg. I had barely left the building, and everything was still sealed. I understand having a return policy, and I can understand a miscommunication mixup, but the lack of customer service that followed was unacceptable.
