As I turned out, she was able to reopen my piercings from the backside of my earlobes and insert titanium earrings with a flat backs that are removed or changed from the front. I was pleased with the job he did but I wanted to add background color for more of a half sleeve. I reached out to Inkwell and got a consultation scheduled with Tony Austin. At the consult I told him what I wanted, paid my $50 deposit and got a day scheduled to start getting the work done. They are able to be a little flexible on price and I got an estimate on what my total price would be when I scheduled. The first available was about a month out so plan accordingly. The first step was to go back over what I already had so when the new color was added it wouldn't drown out the original work. The area was clean and I went in the evening so as far as I know I was the only customer in the studio, it was quiet and relaxed. Tony had a soft hand which resulted in very little scabbing and the conversation was normal tattoo chat, movies, tv, work, etc. It took four sessions and I'm very happy with the end result. The words say "When He Carried Me" and is inspired by "Footprints in the Sand". If I have anymore tattoo work done I'll be going back to Inkwell and hope that Tony is available again.

I…read morehad an appointment booked with another local studio, but when I couldn't get an estimate from the artist, or a range of how many hours it could take, I cancelled. I messaged Wik'd Ink on Facebook messenger and was replied to very quickly. Bear booked me for the same week. When I arrived, I was greeted by the most beautiful Cane Corso named Brutus. What a great pooch! The. I met Bear. A towering long bear arced man who I connected with instantly. We talked a little more about my tattoo, and he worked and then reworked some magic to get it where I wanted it. He was incredibly easy to communicate with, had great ideas, and is top notch. He gave me the estimated time and expected cost. What a novel idea! Then it was chair time. Brother Bear out on some Five Finger Death Punch and we got to work. The perfect blend of conversation, with moments of just chillin in the chair. When all was said and done I walk d away with something I am so stoked on, and plans for many more visits to see Bear and Brutus. This is the absolute hands down best experience I have ever had with any of my 7 or so tattoo artists. I feel like I was welcomed into the family. He has this beautiful old skool style and amazing use of colors. Robert is also amazing. He remembers tattoos he worked on decades ago. Seriously, he remembers doing one of my husband's first tattoos that he got in the early 2000's. Oh and he does really good work. Check out their portfolios! As for the shop, I know they use clean packaged needles (you can watch them open the package). While they do have flash you can pick and stick, they mostly do custom work. It's in a cool section of town and the exposed brick on the inside is beautiful. My problem is all the scary taxidermy animals in bathroom. They tend to scare the pee out me me. Way to be creepy, guys. I love the artists here. Always check out the site and the work of any artist you decide to go to. Make sure you are comfortable with them.
