Had a heap of junk (I mean a gigantic pile) after emptying out my mom's old house. I called a few dumpster places for a 20 yard dumpster, but one left me hanging (didn't show up) and the others couldn't get me one for days. Also, I heard that putting a dumpster in a driveway may potentially damage the driveway. They are extremely heavy and are often dragged thus damaging or potentially cracking the slab (I had a concrete driveway). I started calling around junk collection guys. The first guy didn't answer (he called me later, but by that time I had called Doctor Junk. You snooze you lose) so I called Doctor Junk based on the Yelp reviews and spoke with Bob the owner. Glad I did. He told me he'd be at the house the next day at 10:00AM and he was right on time. I like reliable people who do what they say. Got rid of two truckloads of junk at a fair price. The 20 yard dumpster I would have had to rent may not have held all the stuff and they wanted about $500.00 bucks and some dumpster companies even more for a 20 yard dumpster. So, I think I saved some money by using Bob as I think I would have had to order a 2nd dumpster. Also, Bob and his guy did all the heavy lifting for me. Yes! That was worth something to me! A lot of the stuff was heavy and I would have had a very sore back if I had to do put that myself into a dumpster. I left to go to work and let Bob do his thing. Thank you, "Doctor Junk"! I get something delivered just about every day and give away a lot of things, but rarely ever need something taken away. Well, that take-away time came and after doing extensive research and asking for referrals, I discovered Doctor JUNK. What a pleasant experience from start to finish. Not only did Bob answer the phone with enthusiasm, but he made things happen. Living in a high-rise apartment with lots of rules, Bob was able to get the required COI to management and book the pickup while waiting for it to arrive. He did all this for one small appliance pick up. Some other junk removal companies didn't even have insurance, which I thought was a little dicey. Today was a very yucky rainy day and the Doctor Junk team called ahead to let me know they were on their way even though the weather might cause some delay. These guys were awesome. Doctor Junk (Bob) and his colleague, Alex, are life savers. They are true professionals who know how to remove junk quickly and efficiently plus they are reliable, friendly, and courteous. Bob's price for the removal was fair and reasonable. My husband and I were in a difficult situation trying to make arrangements to clear and clean out an apartment in Hialeah from out of town. I found Bob online and knew I had the right person after speaking with him about the situation. We hadn't seen the apartment,which turned out to be a trashed mess, but sent Bob photos on arrival to confirm what needed to be removed. This guy is a life saver! We were moving to Texas and severely overestimated the space we had to store our furniture so we ended up having to leave behind several pieces of furniture including several shelves, a heavy desk and a pretty big TV stand. We called Doctor Junk at 11pm because it says on his website that he's on call 24/7. And I was surprised when he actually answered at that time! After we texted him pictures of the junk (furniture) we needed removed, he got back to us in 5 mins and gave us a pretty reasonable quote. The communication with him was excellent and he let us know when he was en route. He came by the next day before 10am and removed all the items in around 20 minutes including the huge TV stand, which is crazy! He didn't damage anything in the house either. The cool thing is that he donates whatever is in good condition so that made us feel better because we didn't want our furniture to just end up in a dump. The company I work for is moving offices and although we were able to find a home for a lot of our furniture and filing cabinets, there were things that were broken or unwanted by anyone, there was also junk that needed to be hauled as well, across three floors and a large storage room. I called Doctor Junk because they had great reviews online. I left a message and they called me back right away and scheduled an appointment to give us an estimate. The estimate was fair and and better than the other quote we got. Through out the process, Bob, was very communicative and scheduled with us quickly. He and his team arrived on time and worked very efficiently. We thought it might take more than one day but the Doctor Junk team was able to get it done in one day which was amazing. Responsiveness and professionalism narrowed my search to Dr. Junk and Jack's Removal. From my first conversation with Bob over at Doctor Junk he made it seem like my business truly mattered to him and seemed willing to flex to my schedule - which was key. From a price perspective, they were about the same thing, and it mattered much more to me that we get the job fully completed in one go-round versus saving $50 or whatever. Used Bob & team to get rid of a bunch of old & damaged furniture from my apartment after a flood occurred. He was very easy to book with short notice, showed up on time which is unheard of in Miami (with a text beforehand to let me know he was on his way) and was quick, polite and showed up with the tools necessary to do the job. I had a couch that was too big to get out of the apartment and they took it apart in no time and without issue. I had an entire townhouse of furniture removed by Doctor Junk. They arrived on time and immediately went to work. Bob arrived at the site with an additional trailer as it took that extra trailer to complete the removal. Upon arrival Bob introduced himself and although he had suffered a broken finger the day before and had it bandaged, he immediately joined in the removal and made sure everything was being done correctly. I needed a king size bed with mattress and box springs, a day bed, a set of balcony furniture, and several other items disassembled and removed a day before a moving company was to arrive and pack the rest of my apartment for a cross country move. The schedule for Doctor Junk was therefore critical. They estimated an arrival time between 8:30 and 9:00. They arrived at 8:40 and were done by 9:45. Both men were very courteous and professional. Very Careful and Efficient! I found Bob to be very accommodating to my schedule, easy to get in touch with, and got the paperwork I needed for my condo to me quickly as well. In the end, the estimate he quoted based on photos I had sent him, was exactly what I was charged. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the team that showed up as well. I had a lot of heavy, some unusually shaped junk with one piece so long it would not fit in my elevator. Also, due to tight corners in my building, they had to carry several items by hand into the elevator. None of this mattered.
