The office staff here are terrible and rude. The front desk ladies give out medical advice that isn't their place. They ended up telling me the wrong medicine I could take while pregnant and no one cared that she gave wrong medical advice or cared to fix it. It also took over 8 hours for a nurse to call me back. They truly neglect their patients and I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. read more

When I needed help I didn't get it here, after 7 years as a patient. I have heard the response too often..."I can't refill your diabetic meds, until....." "Dr can't afford to lose her license for a weeks worth of life saving meds for you....". A good doctor doesn't worry about losing their license, they worry about the people they are supposed to serve. Dr. Initially diagnosed my diabetes, saving my life. Sadly, Dr didn't want to reasonably help me treat it after having major surgery. read more

I was recommended this doctors office for Dr. Bellman. She is a nice doctor, but so far the office and practice just doesn't make sense! They ask you to be here 10 minutes early, but then make you wait anywhere from 1-2 hours just to be called back, not including the you waste sitting in the room for the doctor to actually come in and spend 5 minutes. I have never been to a doctors office where they just have no regards to your time. Im currently sitting in the waiting room for an hour and half with a 9month old waiting on an ultrasound because they didn't have time to finish it last week... this is utterly ridiculous that you have to wait this long. I wouldn't recommend Doctors for Women solely on the amount of time you have to waste sitting in the waiting area. read more

I began using Dr. LaBarre in mid-2010. I'm very particular about the doctors I choose, especially when it comes to gynecological matters, but I have to say I was and still am very impressed by the Doctors for Women clinic as a whole. Although I have just recently started to return to this clinic (due to relocation), every time that I call this clinic, I get a friendly and helpful person on the phone. They answer my questions thoroughly. Even using their online appointment form on their website gives great results. I used it to set up my upcoming appointment at around 7pm one night, and someone from the office called me back bright and early the next day to confirm. The actual clinic itself is beautiful. It is on the top floor of Willis-Knighton Pierremont and, aside from getting a room with a window to see just how high up you are (if you have a fear of heights: don't look out the window!), it's a great experience. It is a clean office, the wait time is not bad at all, and everyone is super nice. I can't say that the staff is always happy because we all have our bad days - I know I do! I can say that if they are having a bad day, they certainly do not show it. I personally have never had a bad experience and would recommend this clinic, not only Dr. LaBarre, to anyone who needs an OB/GYN. read more

I've been a patient of Doctors for Women for 3 years now and up until I got pregnant a few months ago I was really satisfied with the care I was receiving. It wasn't until I got pregnant and I was having to come in more often that I really started to see how dysfunctional this office is. Don't get me wrong I like my doctor, Dr. Bellmann. The problem I have is with the front desk staff and her nurse. You go to check in or out and they look at you like you're bothering them by just standing there. I'm friendly and smiling but no matter how nice I am it is never returned. I also feel like if they're going to schedule an appointment for you and expect YOU the patient to show up on time , then they should at least return the favor. I'm writing this review in their waiting room, where I have been sitting for an hour! The last appointment I had I was here for almost 2 hours!! read more

Dr. Stephanie Sockrider delivered two of our three boys and each time, the experience couldn't have been any better. A friends of ours referred us due to a horrible experience I had at a different facility and we couldn't have been more pleased. I had to have c-sections both times which is scary to begin with and every single nurse and the anesthesiologist were extremely caring and catered to us. Dr. Sockrider was quick, efficient, and informative concerning our boys. It's nice to have a doctor and staff who put your mind at ease. read more

Dr. Bellman is a great doctor! She's very friendly, really cares about your well being and listens to your concerns. When I had a "pregnancy scare" they got me right into the office and she made sure to do a thorough investigation to see if anything serious was going on. She delivered my second child and saw me for my "well women's checkups" afterwards. The wait can be a little long sometimes because the doctors also go check on their patients who are in labor & delivery. I'm sad that I had to move, and I hope to find another doctor like her. read more
