I had a great experience with DocuCopies. I needed a full-color, double-sided flyer printed on recycled cardstock. When I priced it out locally, it was crazy expensive, and they didn't have as many options for different paper types. I was really nervous about doing it online because it was close to the event, and I envisioned having to print them all out at home at the last minute if DocuCopies screwed it up (btw, I'm SO glad I didn't- I tested a few and they looked kind of sad compared to the ones by DocuCopies). DocuCopies did an amazing job, though; the flyers are so clear and vibrant. Did I pay a lot more to rush ship? Yes, which was fair to my mind since I had a last-minute order. But, I ordered on 1/15, and I had the (carefully packaged) flyers on 1/17. It was $200, about half that for the rush cost. However, my local FedEx wanted over $500, and I didn't even have to leave the house to get mine through DocuCopies. I have absolutely no regrets about using DocuCopies, and I plan to recommend them and use them again. I'll try to get my next order in with more lead time, but still so happy I found them. As a small business owner, I'm learning the "ropes" and using an out of state printing service had me nervous. Well have no fear with DocuCopies as they really do deliver in all ways and are very communicative. This situation, I never would have thought an online printer could do better than local - but they did! I called mid-Thursday morning in a panic needing a postcard job done by Friday night as I had an event to do Saturday morning. My local quote was a smack in the face of over $450 for 250 postcards double sided. DocuCopies did the job of a little over a hundred but get this, I received 600 double sided postcards even using rush delivery spending a little over $100. I ordered by 1 PM Thursday and received the beautiful postcards by Friday 12 PM! I've also used them colored copy printing which has been fantastic as well as making booklets. I am creating an economics class for my students. I asked this company to make (print) play money for this endeavor. The bills resemble Monopoly money except the bills have an eagle on them. Eagle is the school mascot. The bills would be in two colors, gray on the front and green on the back. I was treated so badly by both the representative and the manager I spoke to. I was told they can't print any US currency or anything resembling US currency. Then I was told for them to even consider this it has to go through their legal department. On top of this, they sent me an e mail showing me the law that says they can't print US currency. What a ridiculous response to my inquiry. For the last two years, I have ordered through the DocuCopies website and had a wonderful experience. My review will mainly be about this year's experience. You really can't beat the costs. Plus, they send out coupons all the time. They even allowed me to apply a coupon on the day it expired, pay for the order, but wait to upload until a few days later once the document was final! These guys are GREAT! Fast, friendly & efficient service, that's all one can ask! I found them on the internet and discovered they had been in business since 1988; figuring if they can stay in business that long, they must not be all bad - I called and ordered a sample packet - the sales rep. was just that - fast, friendly & efficient - answered all my questions, sent me a sample of the paper products and explained a little about the process. I was ordering custom calendars ( a different pic for every month). The process was easy - I made a *.pdf file of my calendar - uploaded it to their site - a small glitch occurred when my paper size was A4 and not letter sized - but the customer service people converted it for me and resent me the file for my approval. 10 minutes later it was off to print! My shipment came from their new (6 month old) facility in San Luis Obispo (I'm in California) so in 1 week, door-to-door my process was done! I ordered through their website and had a great experience. Their customer service is great! I had submitted a design that lacked embed-able fonts and they brought this to my attention right away. They also discovered that I had the new font overlapping the old font on a page i had missed. Mind you, i changed the fonts on 28 pages. I missed one page and they found it after the first test print, was notified of the urgent issue and once i correct the issue everything still shipped on time thanks to their timely correspondence with me via email. Oh dang, I almost forgot. Their prices are out of this world reasonable! Their website is easy to navigate and their turnaround for us is typically about 5 business days. Tip: If you send it on a Friday night through Sunday, it won't be seen until Monday so you still have the weekend to review your work (my experience). I have looked and searched for a better deal and, believe me, DOCUcopies.com is the best deal around. As such, we have been using them for the past 3 years and have not looked back. As you can see, I don't make too many reviews. This is my second one since starting this account over a year ago. The only reason I even started an account is because I was so furious at the service I got. So, it's only fair that I do a review for a company who is so completely awesome! I make little art magazines, not a big thing, just 50 or so copies. I use a Xerox laser printer, but the ink is so expensive, even the off label kind, and the stapling, and so on, that it is just so much more effective to have them done at Docucopies. They helped me through the whole process... and when there was a little hiccup in the communication with one of the other workers, the original person I was dealing with jumped in and cleared the situation. Other companies, you would have gotten a shrug. THEN, she tells me that I misordered, and corrects the amount I owe IN MY FAVOR. The printing was super quick. The quality was great for the price. I found Docucopies.com two years ago on line, and we have been really happy with them. They do good printing at a good price, and they are pleasant to work with when we have to arrange things like spine printing, proof copies, page orientation, mixed color and black and white pages, and more. Even though we may only print 20-30 copies at a time. I was in charge of creating a yearbook for my son's elementary school. To save $$$, I used Microsoft Publisher to created the yearbook and Docucopies was recommended for the printing. I was a little nervous using an online printing company, but they completely exceeded my expectations. I didn't know the publisher I was using was outdated. I was having a difficult time converting it to PDF file to upload to docucopies and worried that it would delay the printing in time for the end of the school year. Kara from the SoCal office was super helpful. They were able to convert my file over from the Pub, no problem at all. I ended up having to make a last min change when I noticed the page numbers were running into students names on the proof and they were able to repeat the process on my updated copy the very next day. After finalizing the proof early the next morning, it went straight into printing and was picked up for shipping that same evening! I received them in NorCal the very next day, and that was one day earlier then my expected delivery window even after all the converting and proofing issues I encountered. And the cost for a 32 page yearbook came out to about $3.50! This was great for my rural school. The PTO ended up buying every family a copy due to it being the first year and dealing with Covid so this didn't break our bank and felt good doing so. Everything arrived nicely packed. I needed 125 copies of a one page color document printed for an event. My local print shops were outrageous so I searched for cheap color copies online and was intrigued with DocuCopies "claim" that color copies were only 5 cents a copy. While they are cheaper, even with shipping, than local print companies, they don't tell you until you start to order that they charge you a set up fee. The 5 cents a color copy shot up to 27 cents a copy when the setup fee was added. There are other online printers who do not charge a set up fee. This fee should have been stated up front. We were recommended their services and were happy to see their affordable pricing, but that was the only highlight of this whole endeavor. After several rounds of edits, we approved a final proof for printing. One week later, we received the hard copies that were printed with none of our corrections included. Our representative, although they expedited shipping, did not offer any solutions or any sort of gesture of good will to make up for their mistakes. On top of it all, they charged us for making the edits that they originally did not make. Overall, this process has taken multiple weeks instead of being a quick turnaround as we had originally hoped, holding up our mailing. read more
