This review is for Miller Granite Memorials - the management of multiple local monument/head stone shops across Kansas including Cornerstone memorials in Home, KS, and also this location. They also operate as Dobbs memorials apparently since that's the email the owner emailed from. I am deeply disappointed by this company's lack of care and communication during a highly sensitive process. I provided detailed photos of my family's other headstones and explicitly requested the new stone match them as closely as possible. Despite this, the installed stone was smaller than what I wanted and expected. When I compared my proof to those of my family members, I noticed that the dimensions were missing on mine but were clearly present on theirs. When I asked about this discrepancy, I was told that the proof is only for design, not dimensions. If that's the case, why were dimensions included on their proofs but not mine? Isn't it odd that this critical information was absent from my proof, and I ended up with a smaller stone? When I tried to address these issues, the company ignored my repeated calls and emails over several weeks. While they were quick to send me a bill for additional graphic work, they showed no willingness to engage in a discussion about resolving the problems with the stone itself. This experience has left me feeling that this company does not understand or respect the emotional significance these stones hold for families. I would strongly recommend seeking another provider who values their customers and demonstrates care in their work. read more

Unprofessional, my family decided to bury my grandfather elsewhere and asked that his name be removed and his childrens names from the back of the stone. They did not listen to my request and put his date of death on there. It looks awful and a Kindergartener could do a better job. I reported them to the BBB. I will contuie to report them until it is changed at their expense. read more

One star is very gracious, they say they can do a job but when they fail just keep going and give you a bill. If you can't deliver as promised than don't charge the customer! Not customer orientated. read more

The worse experience ever for a head stone. They were unorganized, late on setting the headstone (took more than 12 months when they quoted me 6 months) Then the set the head stone BACKWARDS. No one called to say the headstone was in, I found out from a neighbor that it was at the cemetery. Please take your money and time else where. read more

Last place Id ever go for a headstone. They are rude and don't seem to want to help you out in anyway other than take your money. They messed up my fathers dates on his marker. All they will do is tell me they will call me but after 4 times of saying that they still have never called me back. Didn't even say they were sorry for messing up the dates. Just told me it was my fault for not catching it on the final draft. Well I gave them the correct dates in the first place and made sure of it then later they just messed them up , later on , and then when I didn't catch it then I'm stuck with everything and not even an apology or offer to help or suggest what to do. Would never go back to them again. Lazy and careless and most of all poor character. Wouldn't even say they were sorry or offer help in fixing this. their employee was nice, but the owner is very RUDE,UNCARING,not at all helpful, But she's ready to take your money. I had 2 vases added to my parent's and brother shared monument, I told her what I wanted to say on them, she never told me I had a choice of the font or anything else that might be helpful, just told me the would call when done. A week later I went to the cemetery and they had been placed and they looked terrible! the lettering wasn't even centered, and it was white,there is no white lettering on the monument. I told them I was unhappy with it, and wanted it redone. This time they they emailed a proof and gave me a choice of font's to choose from. they asked if I was unhappy with the font or the white paint, I emailed back both the paint and font. a month later they were done, but I had to call to find that out. Went to the cemetery to see them,guess what? they used white paint again. When I complained about the paint, she said oh it will fade off and get dirt in it you won't even be able to notice. They sent me a second bill $265.00, the first one's were $350.00. I told her I wanted the first pair back, very rudely she said why what are you going to do with them?, I said it didn't matter I paid for them they're mine.
