Years ago I wrote a very good review on Dog in Suds as my dogs were being groomed regularly by Melissa and I was very pleased. However, as time went on, I was paying master groomer prices and my dogs were being done by an apprentice and twice I had to take dogs back due to the groom not being complete. The final straw came when I paid $60 for a bath and blow out. That is correct, no grooming whatsoever, just a bath and blowout on a 48 pound dog. Today I used the groomer at my vet's office to "use a 10 blade to clean the face and feet" on an 8 pound poodle. Specific instructions for nothing else, just those 2 things. I picked her up with a scalped head, scalped inner ears and partially scalped outer ears and tail in addition to the 2 things for which I had asked. Found out the groomer is a groomer for Dog and Suds........never again! read more

We have taken our dog here several times. I need to say that so people know this wasn't his first visit. I made an appointment for today and dropped him off at 9:00 am. He was the 2nd dog being dropped off. When my husband talked to the front desk she couldn't find his name but agreed that she told me to bring him in today. That's was a red flag. I believe they over booked for the day. I texted at 2:00, 3 and 4 to see if he was finished. They finally texted back at 4:15 to tell me he was just now getting on the table. Which meant he had been in a cage since 9:00 am with no food, NO water and no walks. I was texted at 5:00 to let me know he was ready. I would think you would groom the dogs in the order they are dropped off. Mine wasn't groomed until last. When we got him home he pee'd a small amount and it was a very dark yellow. The poor guy was so dehydrated. He then went into the house and drank and drank and drank. In fact he drank so much he threw it all up. These people are supposed to be professionals. They should know better. They should know how to treat animals to keep them safe. They should have had me bring him back later in the day, or even another day when they realized he wasn't on the schedule. But they put their greed over the care and attention of my dog. This is the worst place for grooming in the tristate if you want your fur baby to get the care and attention they deserve. read more

Took my dogs there. First was okay, second visit was charged for the full grooming, which was not done. The third visit get sent a video of how they treated my dog during the toenail clip and my husband picked them up and they tried to make him another appointment and he told them no after the way they treated my dogs. Then they denied doing what they done to him, and my husband told them we have the video. The girl then got quiet. Then she told him she would give back my dogs without a tip. UNBELIEVABLE. We poor dogs are scared for life and she wanted a tip. Here is a tip, don't take your dogs here, they will be mistreated. read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service when I took my dog here. We had scheduled an appointment, were told drop off was 9-10 AM. After dropping her off at 9:30 we were told she would be ready after noon. We wasted time (we didn't live in the area) until 12 which we were waiting outside of the store. They have a sign on the door that says you cannot go inside until your dog is ready and to wait for their text confirmation, which is off putting anyway. We called twice while setting outside and no one answered the phone. After it became 2PM I had my fiancé come to the door to see how much longer it would be and the lady looked at him like he was crazy and just said "later". I waited a little while longer (we had been waiting going on 5 hours) and rang the door bell again and asked how much longer and explained we didn't live there and had been waiting forever and she then expected me to just magically know that most people just drop their dog off, leave and don't come back until closing. Not once was this mentioned to me nor should that be expected for every person that wants to do business with them. You should be allowed to go inside the business that your dog is being groomed in. The sign on the door just demonstrated that it isn't the first time people have been upset about the wait. If you expect people to do something or run your business a certain way, you should probably inform your customers. Not to mention 2 days later I noticed my dog has 2 cuts on her belly. My dogs grooming looked okay even though it was half way done. Communication was lacking. read more

Arrived to get my dog after 4 hours and she was ready and complete, locked in the kennel in plain sight. I was told I was not able to pick up my dog because someone else was just contacted to pick up their dog. I asked how long and was told "I don't know". I was there with my check in hand and didn't understand why I couldn't just pick up my dog that was ready, which I could clearly see. I was told because of the time it took to disinfect after each guest. All I wanted to do was hand her a check (which was in hand ready to go) and grab my pet, I didn't have to touch a thing but instead I waited in my vehicle for 40 mins while listening to my 10lb dog howling and crying before the other gentlemen arrived to pick up his pet. Then watched them take 2 mins to wipe down a door handle. Then I was able to get my dog. So unprofessional and the processes in place are not working. Work on your process. Other businesses take care of multiple clients while providing a safe environment. read more
