With us, he eventually bonded but not with our adult children. We, through the rescue, reached out to Emily Beddard. She had him for 3 months. During that time, my husband decided he wanted to keep him and just manage the behavior. When the dog was 'ready', Emily contacted us and we drove down to pick him up. He is a changed dog - no longer immediately aggressive, still requires an introduction but has accepted everyone we have introduced, and is a total lovebug with them. The big test was over the holidays and he passed with flying colors. I credit Emily and her team as they provided him with training, but just as importantly heavy socialization and an opportunity to feel safe. When we picked him up, you could see how they loved him. They were also terrific about periodically sending pictures - I could see how happy he was in their care. He continues to be a happy, relaxed dog and we have maintained the introduction protocol that Emily taught us.

She texted me updates during their walks and was always able to accommodate my ever changing schedule. In addition to walks, she also taught Pancake some basic obedience during their visits. One day, right after I adopted my pup, she snuck into a care package I'd put together for my deployed friends (read, boatloads of chocolate) while I was at work. Luckily, Erica dropped by for their daily walk and she immediately contacted me and even took her to the nearby vet to have her stomach evacuated before taking her home. I worked 45min away and Erica did not even hesitate to offer to take her to the vet. I used Blissful Buddha for a few weeks before I found Erica and while I thought they were professional and courteous, I felt it was a bit more of a corporate vibe and they rarely sent the same walker twice. With Erica, she will treat your pup like her own and you as a friend. She also was willing to speak with my new landlord about my dog to allay their concerns about having an "aggressive" dog in their rental and thankfully, they were willing to take her word. The staff said it would take more time to get the appointment completed because they wanted to take their time so my buddy wouldn't feel terrified in a new place. She never barked, was happy to go with the groomer (dogs read people very well), and she was calm and happy when I picked her up. They get my 5 stars (which I don't give out easily) and I'm just in from out of town. To the lady who freaked out about hair on the floor: What's more important: taking more pooches for grooming, or vacuuming the floor after every dog? Frankly I'd rather have them not have to hire more staff and charge more. While I would worry about the staff slipping on the floor, I'd ask you to remember it's CLEAN HAIR. The dogs have all been bathed before they go to the station for a cut and blow dry. This is not a fancy ladies day-spa-type salon. Get over yourself!
