I'd like to say there's only a couple of things that need attention, it's everything, tee boxes, fairways, greens, and tree roots. COME ON MAN! Maybe some topsoil, grass, and water would help. They should all travel to Waco to see Cottonwood Creek and see what a municipal golf course should look like. You should be ashamed of yourself for presenting this to the public as a golf course. Please sell to someone who will do a better job making this place more appealing to your tax paying public and the people who come to play from out of town. Maybe you could try to catch up to the awesome restaurant next door.

Our son had a tournament here and after reading reviews, we didn't know what to expect. My husband, who has played on numerous courses across the country said this golf course was really nice. He said the greens were good. The only "negative" was that it was a bit dry BUT he didn't think that impeded play at all. He also said there weren't many trees so you would "bake" in the sun but didn't have any issues with the course. Our son, at 8 years old, won first place in the tournament scoring +3 on the front 9. You don't shoot a 39 if the course is terrible. The clubhouse was a bit underwhelming. The interior gave me "VFW vibes". Random tables and chairs, scuffed paint on the walls, etc. I was expecting nicer considering the rest of campus, including their AMAZING football stadium. Perhaps all their money goes to football and not golf. Nonetheless, perhaps the people playing are expecting private country club-ish course. Nope. This is a great course for us.

I have seen it at its best and at its worst, including during extended flooding issues. For a course in central Texas, the groundskeepers deserve real credit. Course conditions are excellent the majority of the time, and I appreciate the emphasis on basic golf etiquette. As long as you're not out there clowning around, you can expect a solid round. That said, as a customer, two stars feels appropriate due entirely to the guest experience. From my first visit three years ago to every visit since, the front desk staff consistently make the experience feel unwelcoming. Asking simple questions often seems to irritate them, and basic courtesies like acknowledging a thank you are noticeably absent. It gives the impression that players are an inconvenience rather than valued guests. I have personally had good experiences with starters, but I have heard numerous accounts from others about rude or overly aggressive interactions, which I find entirely believable based on my own experiences elsewhere on the course. No one is asking for luxury treatment, just basic human decency and professionalism. I have plenty of negative experiences from this course, none of which relate to course conditions. They all stem from a poor attitude toward customers. A course this well maintained should be striving for people to return and recommend it, but issues like unnecessary hostility, questionable refund practices, and a general lack of hospitality seriously detract from what could otherwise be a great golf experience. One quick personal story emphasizing my review: My buddy and I came to play and were paired with two other randoms. Great time, great people, great conditions that day. Unfortunately, the two random people in our group had their own cart and had snuck a cooler in with outside alcoholic beverages, a serious issue for obvious reasons. On hole 5 we're coming up to the tee box with the other guys in their cart ahead of us and up to this point my buddy and I still had no clue these guys were hiding beers in their cart. Then suddenly a marshal comes beaming around a turn on the path and rips into these kids threatening a permanent ban and reporting them to the student conduct office. Totally understandable response tbh. Unfortunately for my buddy and I, when he gets done with them he apparently didn't get enough anger out so he starts coming at us, accusing us of hiding beers and being extremely rude. We had to take everything out of our bags to prove we didn't have any, even after trying to explain to him we didn't even know the other kids. I work at the police department and even the cstat police officers don't act this aggressive when searching a vehicle for controlled substances. Completely out of line for a person who's supposed to be representing the course's name. But who am I to these people, seemingly nothing but a speck of dust for them to deal with apparently lol.

There's a small building with the machine that dispenses balls and then walk a short distance and start firing away. There can be a shortage of buckets to gather balls which is something people weren't thrilled about. However you can get quite a bit of balls for the price as 50 balls were around $11 which is better than what I pay in Houston at most places. It's not the best driving range but for hitting balls and practicing your driving skills, it's efficient and does the job.

Every single staff member is kind, personal and helpful. From when I first started playing golf to now, they have always been able to guide me to the best clubs and equipment that will help me play my best games while being cost effective. I've also heard horror stories coming from employees saying Jared doesn't give attendance points to people he likes and Mike leaves them out to dry when they are understaffed. Things like this can't be happening when the dues we pay are so high and keep getting higher for the same quality of service as it was before. The course is beautiful but hard to play. The blue shirt guys are up your butt 24/7 trying to help whether it is intentional or forced orders nobody likes it here. Jared Owens needs to go back to school and learn a new profession

Normally our trip is after the time change and did catch the course in a seasonal sanding but the conditions of the greens even with sand made for quite a challenge. The rooms are 6 star and the food is comparable. Wine list is excellent and well stocked (no shortage off '07 Silver Oak Cab). Caddies were a new component and not experienced but most of us had played the course so was not an issue. The course has 3 five pars and 3 par 3's on front side. Great course for gamblers and fair to the shorter hitters. Clubhouse is off the charts, locker rooms are the best ever and the staff is not in a hurry or overworked. We were the only foursomes on the course the two days we were there except the A&M golf team. Possibly the best golf/dining/lodging experience ever and certainly anywhere in Texas.

Control your temper "skins" you guys cussed us out, for attempting to go ahead of you when you took 20 mins on a par 3 hole, then proceeded to hit 4 drives in to the trees. You f***ing suck. You didn't rake your bunkers, left your pitch marks, I filled your divots. Stay away, it's a shame I have to say that but one group ruins it all. F**k you. I looked in advance on Google earth (which the image was from a few years ago) and the course was burnt up and bare. Went 9-1-24 and the fairways/rough was in bad shape. Greens were punched recently but were in awful shape. Tees were almost perfect though. If I lived in the neighborhood and was a member I would be furious. For only a few golf courses in college station it's sad there isn't better options.

Joining the tennis at pccc has seriously been such a joy and highlight for me for the past 2 years. The club also offers exercise classes and has a decent gym that my husband uses. One of the best things that the club offers is kids Klub!!! It's super affordable and allows parents to be involved- it's the only way I've been able to play tennis again! In addition, pccc has a good restaurant that changes its menu a lot and offers a great variety. They have a great view of the golf course, good specials on various nights, live music some, decent prices and more! The pool was also redone fairly recently and includes a swim up bar, splash pad, slide, beach front entrance! The golf course is pretty nice and it doesn't feel like you're even in college station. The club offers kids sports camp in the summer too! This club offers so so much to individuals, couples, and families!! I highly recommend joining here as it's an affordable club in town and also is a wonderful experience! They also offer half off initiation fees throughout the year at various times, CHECK IT OUT!!
