I was recommended by a friend to take my dog here. I have a Shih tzu and like most dogs he despises going to the groomer, but on this particular day, which was on a Saturday I decided to call and set up an appointment for him to get groomed I dropped my dog off at 10:30am that day. The lady at the front counter let me know that he would be ready to be picked up at 3:30pm I handed him over to her and thanked her for helping me. I then went about my day running errands until It was time to go pick him up. At 3:45pm I walk into the store and told the lady at the front counter that I needed to pick up a black and white shitzu whose name was Hershey. She proceeded to go to the back and when she walked back out. She hands him to me. I thank her for her service and walk out. Over the next 24 hours everything is fine, that is until I get a phone call from my mom while I'm at work. She began to inform me that he has a big red Scar underneath his arm. After I get off of work my mom shows me a cut underneath his arm. The next day I call the store to speak with the manager and I explain to him the situation. He informs me that he will handle the situation and give me a callback once he figures out who the groomer was. After he gives me a call back he apologizes for everything that happened and stated that he will give me a refund for the inconvenience. The whole situation could have been avoided if the groomer would of just apologized for what happened and informed me that he had been cut when I picked him up that day. read more

Avoid this place. They are dishonest and do not keep their word and mark their products up a hundred percent above cost. We bought a hedgehog from this business 24 hours ago and it immediately became ill. Before we paid for it the lady told us that it had a 13 day warranty and if it became ill or died we can get my money back or exchange it for another one. When it became ill we called trying to find out if there was anything we could do to help it and found out our vet did not have any experience with small animals in our rural town. With that being said we decided it was best to not own an animal that we were unable to take care of properly and tried to return the Hedgehog to The Dog Patch Pet Shop. When we tried to return it and not exchange it for another one that we could not take care of The Man In Charge said we cannot get our money back even though we haven't had it for more than a couple days well within the 13-day warranty, and changed what they were saying before saying that they never said that,( but they did and I have two witnesses) finally after haggling with him he only would give me his cost back on the animal which was $95, less than half what I paid for it and showed me on paper how much he paid for it showing he marks up his products over 100% If a business tells a customer that their warranty covers illness or death by refund or exchange then they should stick to what they say and not go back on their word Even if it's an employee of that business trying to make a sale they should not be allowed to say things that are not true. read more

Took my 16 yr old schnauzer in for a cut. He was really matted bad too. Mr. Lawrence kept me informed on him. I live in New Boston, Tx. It only took 3 hrs for them to transform him into the beautiful dog he used to be. I actually bought him from the Dogpatch pet store in 2004 on New Boston rd. A long time ago. They recommended several items for an aging dog, which I got. They were very thorough and even tho it might be a little more exspensive, I opted to return. Love this groomer. read more

This is a terrible place. The fish tanks are filthy and almost every single tank has a dead fish in it. My husband and I went in today and there was a dead guinea pig just laying in a cage with the rest of the animals! We will never be back. read more

We had a women helping us... if you could even say that! They had dogs there and we wanted to see one she said "no we aren't doing that" in a VERY rude voice!!! Dog patch also do not let their dogs play around they stay in a pen 24/7! So so sad they can't even let people play with their dogs. What if I wanted to buy a dog they wouldn't even let you hold them or play with them. So what I'm getting out of this they aren't experienced with being nice! This place has disappointed me. I feel i have wasted my money, when I was told a grooming consist of bathe, toe clipping, hair cut, flea dip , and anal glands being attented too. Well, obviously that was a tale! Took my dog in for his regular grooming last week thursday, thinking everything was done, by the appearance it seemed that way. This morning had to take my baby to vet due to abscess, anal glands was NOT attended to, as I was told they were. I will not bring my baby to this place that wants to rush through work, not considering the reason why customers bring in their pets to be groomed with care. Now my baby is on antibiotics. I brought my dog in for grooming. They charged $41 for nails, flea dip, bath & cut. I thought that was a little expensive so I called my friend she says her groomer charges $25 for the same services. My dog was happy though when I picked her up and her cut was 'pretty good' so although I will be trying out the cheaper place I wld def return to Dogpatch if the services weren't any better than 'pretty good'. read more

I recently purchased and used the $30 voucher for Dog Patch . It says it can be used for grooming. When I picked up my dog, I was told the $30 was for fish only. The people that work there are very rude . Example she said we aren't allowed to see the other dog which my family loved and might of considered adopting him. She said they don't let them play and was rude to my child and made her cry.Overall the employees there are very very very very rude.also another time my family went there and they cut the whole nail off when they only asked for a little nail cut. read more

The owner of this store "Lawrence" will rip you off in any way possible. Most of the animals there do not get fed (reptiles & fish for sure). The lizards are always thin looking & sometimes diseased. If you have a problem with your purchase, that's too bad. No take backs or refunds. I had a friend who took their dog to be groomed & the people there shaved the whole dog. The owner was upset, so Lawrence tries to sell her expensive dog food that will make the dogs hair grow back faster. Save your time & money and GO TO PETSMART. At least they give you a 14 DAY guarantee! read more
