We have been taking our bulldog to Dogs Day Inn for several years now. We feel very lucky to have found this place. Lu is so amazing. We feel so lucky to have found a person to take care of our dog that cares just as much as we care. When we first moved to the Lake area from Los Angeles, CA we did not know where to take her. After several bad experiences in the Lake area, Kansas City, and Overland Park Kansas. Yes!!! We went as far as Overland Park to board our pup in trying to find the best place where she would be taken care of without any negligence and no stress. We almost gave up and than we found Dogs Day Inn (She was highly recommended by one of our clients) We feel so blessed to have found this place. I feel like I am taking my dog to a family member that cares. I travel without stress knowing that she will be stress free, safe and in a place where she will not be ignored. Lu takes great pride and notices every detail of my dogs needs, from her appetite, water intake, to her potty breaks and activity level. I know she is on top of it and I have not found that anywhere. This place is clean and safe. It is all you need for your dog to be safe, happy and stress free. Thank you Lu for all you do! We have been taking our Boxer Mollie to Dogs Day Inn for about 4 years now. Before then we had checked around at kennels like a person does for a child sitter. All we could find was cramped cages and the smell was like dirty dogs. They told us the animals would only be let out of the cages at certain times, which was not often enough. Then I was in Quail Valley Vet Clinic and someone had left a flyer in there for Dogs Day Inn in Kaiser Mo. I asked about it in the Clinic and they said the lady that left the flyer there was very picky with her two pets and she was VERY satisfied. So I being picky also called Lu the owner. We went down for a tour and we were really impressed. The area where she has the animals are partitioned off ROOMS, just like little bedrooms. And very clean, it did not smell of animals. And another thing that I like is that Lu is right there with them most of the time and she has a baby monitor so she can hear them if she is not in the same building. She also lets them out very frequently to go potty and get a little exercise. She treats the animals llike they are her own. This is the only place we will EVER take our pets. We have about a 40 minute drive to Dogs Day Inn but it is worth it just knowing we don't have to worry about our pets while we are away. Thanks so much Lu. We picked up our dogs today after a 4 day stay at Dogs Day Inn. We returned to find happy and well cared-for fur kids, and we were equally happy with the service Lu provided. We have boarded our 12 year old golden here at least 6 times maybe more, sometimes for as long as 2 weeks when we lived full time near Osage Beach MO. (We just recently moved to GA) I can't say enough about the wonderful care Lou, the owner has given our dog. She even calls us as we have requested to give us an update on our baby or we can always call her. She treats her with great kindness and love. Never have heard or witness any mistreatment of any dogs while in Lou's care. Always clean and maintained. She has never sedated our dog nor has requested to do so. I don't know why you filtered my review. This business is very clean and the lady is so good with the animals. I looked and you have also done filtering to approx. 10 other people who have used this service. I think Yelp is being paid by someone to publish certain things. I am really upset with Yelp. You have left only one review on this site and if you check she also had a bad review the same day at a restaurant, so it is perfectly clear the lady was having a bad day. We've been customers for 4+ years and they have always been very accommodating, even in times when we gave short notice for boarding our dog. The owner is very pet friendly and conscious of the dogs to make sure they are comfortable, safe and well taken care of. There are no cages, but rather half wall partitions to separate the dogs. Our dog is not kept in a cage at home, so the environment makes our dog feel closer to home. We highly recommend using Dogs Day Inn for your next pet's destination while you are out of town. read more

I have taken my 6 year old Beagle mix to her multiple times over the last several years. My dog unlike most has a history of herniated disc in his low back which causes him to be paralyzed when it gets really bad. Therefore I do not leave him with anyone that I don't trust 100%. She has always been great with him, and I am grateful that she even accepted him into her facility. He is a timid dog who needs lots of attention and love, and I have always felt that he was taken care of and treated like one of her own. read more

We have a yellow lab. We've taken her to Dogs Day Inn in Kaiser Mo. for at least 4 years. We usually take her with us, but sometimes you just can't. We've never had a bad experience. We treat our dog as part of the family and when we pick her up she is always happy (just the way we dropped her off). I would recommend this boarding facility to anyone who truly cares for their pet. We appreciate the extra care given by the owner (Lu) and will continue to use this facility when needed. read more

I love this place. I feel so fortunate to have found her. Because she lives near by, she has had flexible hours with me that I appreciate very much do to how late I could be getting into town and the fear that it might close before I'm able to pick up my dog and I'd have to go to work. My dog wasn't boarded in a cage, but a cute little room-like a stable. This place is great for my dog :) read more

We now have two dogs that Lu takes care of and she does an wonderful job. I really love the way she loves our dogs! It is obvious they are well treated. I left our 2 dogs for 10 days and they looked as good and happy when we got back as when we left. We check on the dogs by text and always get a prompt response. Dogs Day Inn is the only place we will leave our black lab! The dogs safety is their main concern, and they get personalized attention throughout the day. She really cares about each dog, and the rooms are always spotlessly clean! No worries here :) read more
