    Excellent grooming job
    Ashleigh H.

I've taken my dog here twice for grooming. Both times she has been seen by Amanda and I can say Amanda does a fantastic job. She definitely understood exactly what I wanted and took very detailed notes. On our second visit, I really didn't have to give her any instruction and my dog's hair cut was perfect. I'm so glad I found this place and will definitely be back for many hair cuts to come!

This is the third time I have taken my dog to this place. The first time was just ok, the second was an amazing grooming service except that they charged $10 more than the first. The most recent time was today. I brought my dog and they took care of him in under two hours. When they called to tell me to pick him up, I verified how much it would be. She told me $50. When I get there to pick up my dog she tells me it's $60. The money would not be an issue if they accepted credit or debit. So I cleaned out my coin tray for them. Then when she shows me my dog, he was buzzed to the skin on his chest and she blamed him scratching. He has balled patch on his chest and it's his fault. The first two groomers to take care of my dog had no issues, but this time it's my dog's fault. There are several other groomers in Mary Esther. This place will never receive my business again

This place was good, but I stopped by 5/4/22 and they have a sign posted saying they are closed permanently due to being short staffed

PLEASE! PLEASE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO NOAH'S BARK AND PURRS!…read more On 17 May, at 8:55 a.m. , I took our little 18 month old Shih Tzu/ Bichon Frise' mix, to Noah's Bark and Purrs to be groomed. He was matted but not horribly. I was told by Stormy that he would have to be shaved down, and i was also asked to sign a waiver, because shaving mats can cause or reveal injuries. Stormy stated that pictures would be taken to show how he was matted, after being shaved. At 1:47 p.m. , I texted to see how our little fur baby was doing, Stormy replied that he was doing well and that they would call shortly. After being notified to pick up our baby, when arrived Stormy came out later and began showing me the pictures. Not one time did she mention his injury, as she was scrolling through the pictures, I saw the pic with our baby and a bloody cut on the left cranial region. She explained that this happens when a dog is matted and gets shaved. Then, she brought out our little fella. He had this glue substance over his cut and it was still bloody around the area. She stated that she didn't realize that she had injured him because he didn't make a sound. She stated that our little baby was okay and that I should take him home and let him rest, because she had spoken with the Vet about his injury and that the Vet instructed her to cover our little fella with the glue substance. We later learned that the Vet was not working, but has been retired for several years. I told her that I would like for our fur baby to be seen by his Vet, to take a look at his injury. Stormy stated that it was not necessary; because he's going to be fine and that I would incur a Vet bill. I don't understand why she said that she didn't hear him make a sound when he ended up receiving 5 stitches- believe our poor baby yelped with an injury as such. First, I was NEVER notified, prior to picking him up, that our poor baby had incurred an injury during grooming. I did not realize he was injured until I saw the pictures. Secondly, Stormy made excuses that this is something that happens, and she never did apologize- only more excuses, and how she has 20 years experience. Thirdly, if it was a serious injury why would she called a Retired Vet for instructions and why wasn't we notified. Upon leaving Noah's Bark and Purrs, I immediately went straight to our baby's Vet, despite Stormy suggesting that I take him home to rest, upon arrival, his Vet, I explained what happened and they took him immediately and begin treating him. He was clipped and clean around the area, and soak the glue to remove it. Not to mentioned, our baby required FIVE STITCHES! We are so furious as to how this occurred from shaving a matted pet, and he was not severely matted! If I taken our fur baby home, he could incurred a serious infection and GOD knows what else. He also had a temperature of 101. I'm positive it was from the injury and stress which Stormy and her 20 years' experience incurred.

She responded well to the kind staff. The place itself is in an older strip mall, and when you walk inside it's quite spacious -- absolutely no stacked crates, and they clean often. They even washed Coco's bed and blanket for her. I will certainly be using them for future travel dates because I know my dog is in good hands here.

Our furry friends deserve a spa day once in a while and everyone there was great! I will definitely be back. (Just a addition note, I came in while my Spitz was still being groomed. Him and my Pom have been through a lot emotionally the last few months with changes in our family, so they have been extremely close. It sincerely made me happy that when I came in, they were both together. I know that made them much more comfortable. Just a extra level of care you don't always see. Thank you DGC.)

I've taken my elderly husky and my Belgian Malinois here multiple times and just cannot in good…read morefaith recommend bringing your dog here. I have multiple complaints so hang tight and buckle in for the ride. 1) Every time I've picked up my Husky she is still damp after being there all day and smells like vinegar. I'm aware that a vinegar mixture is used on dogs with dense coats like my dog to help them dry, but there's never any warning or heads up that she's still damp until I touch her. Not to mention, the vinegar smell is so strong sometimes that I end up just re-bathing her and blowing her out myself. 2) My husky's nails looked like someone took the dullest nail clippers to her nails every time she's gone; they looked awful, splintered, and multiple had blood on them and around her toes. I could tell they tried to clean her paws after cutting her quicks but there was still blood residue around her toes; I'd 100% have preferred being told that her nail trim couldn't be completed rather than her nails looking like butchered tree limbs. I am aware she's difficult for nail trims which is why I learned how to properly cut and Dremel her nails myself if needed. 3) When I brought my Malinois in I'd asked for a bath, nail trim, and deshed... Super simple and I know she's fantastic for grooming. When my husband picked her up and brought her home he told me that they did not do her deshed because "she didn't need it". I just found that crazy because she had CLUMPS of fur falling off of her which caused me to need to brush her out for over an hour to get the loosened fur mostly off of her. Then there's her nails... which didn't get trimmed and I had to do myself. Well, I'll correct myself, she had a total of maybe 8 nails that got the very tips clipped but the rest were clearly untouched. Even the nails that did get trimmed needed to be cut more because they were not nearly short enough to actually have maintained the length; when properly cut, her nails don't click clack on my floors but they sounded like tiny hooves on concrete. 4) Then there's the pricing. My Malinois - $60 and then my Husky is double and usually cost us around $120, but the cost fluctuated for my Husky and had cost me nearly $200 at some points. Same services with no price change explanation. I don't mind paying a difference with my dogs or based on how dirty/difficult they are, or based on their coats since they are very different along with their personalities. However, these things need to at least explain to me why each one costs a different amount. 5) For my last straw, my husky always acts SUPER tired after grooms here. I chalked it up to her being old but then when I brought my Malinois in and she slept for 2 days straight, something was not right. I've never seen my Malinois so tired she could barely stand - let alone sleep for so long and not want to train or be around me. She is a Velcro dog and, for anyone who has owned or been around a Malinois, you know they generally don't act tired like that whatsoever. Overall, there's just a consistent pattern of not communicating to us, not completing services that we asked and paid for, poor quality of services rendered, and concerning behavior changes with both my pets that have permanently turned me away from this grooming service. I've worked in the dog industry for years, both in shelters and at pet boarding facilities that offered daycare and grooming services so I know what type of care my dogs should receive and how clients should be treated. In no way should I have to re-groom my dogs after paying for them to be properly groomed or to worry about my pets welfare while they're supposed to be receiving a simple grooming service. This is not it and I hope that these issues with other clients either aren't happening or do not continue to happen.
