Maya is the absolute best! My Bruce is always so happy while at doggy daycare and when he returns home with his big smile and wag in his tail. All of the staff are amazing and they are all caring and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I know my pup is in great hands, safe, happy and cared for.

Maya and her team are the absolute best! We were nervous to send our dog, Birdie, to daycare at first but Maya completely eased our nerves. She was so attentive and really took the time to get to know Birdie, and all of her quirks. Birdie is so excited to go to camp now, and we love getting updates with pictures of what she's been up to that day. She always comes home happy and tired. We are so grateful for Dog's True Dream and feel so lucky to have them in our life!

The freaking best dog day care in the Bay Area. Goooddd prices & moneys worth. My dog Niyah did the training, absolutely see a difference in my puppy. This place is filled with love for dogs. She is now on the day care once a week and is tired whenever I pick her up from the long hikes she does. They send reports out and pictures. Maya, Jessica, and Savy are Niyahs best friends now. She looks forward coming here every week.

Our Cattledog mix Ollie Aka Ollie Man has been going to DTD (Dogs True Dream) since Feb 2020, since he was just 5 months old. He's 2.5 weeks away from 3 years old now. He was basically raised by the dogs/staff at DTD and has developed a strong pack mentality and won't run off too far when he's off leash. I kid you not when we take him to DTD, he whines to be let out of the car, and when I open the car door he sprints inside, so excited and happy to be there. Makes me very happy seeing him happy and is the complete opposite of his experience at the vet (tail between his legs, growling, resisting being brought inside) so I know he's have a great time at DTD based on how excited/happy he gets every day he goes. The staff is always so friendly, upbeat, Maya, Grace (back in the day), Carlos, Savi, Jessica, and the rest of the team. He will also miss Levi, Powder and many of his other buddies. He gets dropped off after each day of excitement and takes a nice long nap after his days "at school"! They celebrate birthdays at DTD also! We're going to miss DTD almost as much as Ollie! We're moving to the South Bay otherwise Ollie would stay with DTD forever.

Our Foxy is on the left! She loves her hikes!

I honestly cannot remember the last time I wrote a review for anything -- but I'm concerned about…read morethe care here and think other pet owners should know what happened, especially if you care about getting clear, honest communication about your pet's health. For context: we'd been going to this clinic for five years and always felt good about the care. That changed after our most recent visit. I specifically scheduled a full examination (with specific concerns about allergies and seizures) for my dog before we left town for an extended trip, so she'd be fully checked before we were away. The vet didn't speak with me at all after the exam. It was only after the visit (around three days after) that I noticed a mass on my dog's side, so I emailed the clinic to ask whether the vet had happened to notice anything during the exam, since nothing had been mentioned to me. I was told that the vet had noted a mass and recommended monitoring. And, I was also told the vet was "happy to look at the mass again at no charge." The need for reexamination worried me so I followed up to ask if it is urgent. I was told "consistent monitoring is fine, not urgent at all." There was some back and forth with scheduling another visit, which prompted me to email asking for clarification on the inconsistencies during our communication. Instead of a written response, I got a phone call from the medical director. On that call, the medical director told me the vet actually meant to write that she did not see a mass -- the opposite of what was shared with me via email. When I pointed out that made no sense (if there was no mass, how could she have advised it wasn't urgent?), I was then told the vet's note reflected me telling her I'd found a mass, and that masses "sometimes don't show up" at the vet visit. I had to explain that this was also incorrect -- I hadn't noticed anything until after the appointment, which is why I'd emailed asking in the first place. So, I was given three different, inconsistent explanations. I tried to ask and understand what happened. I can accept a missed diagnosis--as long as we can work together to address it. However, their explanation was very opaque. As I asked more questions, I was told that she has a family and has to go (which I understand as it was 6pm). But I was disappointed when she followed that indicating that I wasn't a good fit for the clinic and should go elsewhere. I was only trying to reconcile the inconsistencies in the information they provided and have only been requesting explanations to what happened (and not refund/ compensation). Not to mention, she made various comments about my personality as I was trying to understand what happened and requested answer to the questions I outlined in my email to the clinic. To her credit, the medical director stayed on the phone with me for 25 minutes (with me pushing for more information and understanding what happened) and did offer to have the mass checked herself at no charge. I've gone ahead and scheduled that follow-up, since I already paid for a full exam that should have covered this. But I'm left unsure whether this is the standard of communication and record-keeping I should expect. Meanwhile, I've reached out to other vet clinics, which these days, may take awhile to get off the waitlist. I'd encourage folks to review their own pet's records closely and ask questions if anything seems off, because not all information may be shared with you otherwise.

We came across Cutie Paws online. Their reviews were good and they are close to us, so we booked a four night stay for the July 4th holiday weekend. Drop-off went great ...but I was still a bit worried since it was his first time there. My concerns were all swiftly put to rest. Wendy and Mantin took amazing care of our pup, sent photos and videos (their place is very cute and charming with a lovely backyard). We just picked him up and he is very happy and well cared for. I am so glad I found them and would recommend without hesitation.

From the moment I dropped her off, I felt completely at ease. They were attentive, communicative, and genuinely invested in her comfort and well-being. I received regular updates, photos, and notes about how she was settling in, which meant the world to me. It's clear they understand dogs on an individual level -- their personalities, quirks, and routines. When I picked Lola up, she was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. No stress, no overwhelm -- just a tired pup who had a great time. The facility was clean, safe, and thoughtfully run, and I appreciated how organized and responsive the staff were. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants their dog cared for with kindness, consistency, and real attention to detail. Lola will definitely be coming back!

Update following the owner (Suzanne)'s response:…read more I appreciate the business taking the time to respond. I want to clarify a few points for transparency and for prospective customers considering Happy Hound. My concern was never the existence of a first-day assessment fee, but the value delivered. I have used dog daycares across NYC, Chicago, LA, and San Francisco and have never encountered one that charges more than a standard daycare day for a first-day evaluation. In many cases, the first day is complimentary. That context shaped my expectations going in. When I called to book, the 3:00pm time slot was the only option presented to me by Happy Hound. At no point during booking--or after the tour--was it communicated that the daycare credit would apply the same way regardless of whether my dog attended for a full day or only a couple of hours. Without that clarity, it is entirely reasonable for a new customer to assume that paying for a full day would result in receiving a full day of care. That is where the communication breakdown occurred. I am not disputing the sequence of events shared in the owner's reply. My concern is with the policy itself--specifically, requiring payment for a full day of daycare while not delivering a full day of service when scheduling limitations come from the business. The outcome was that I paid for care my dog did not receive. A prorated refund for the unused portion of that day would have been a reasonable, customer-oriented resolution. Sharing this simply so other prospective customers understand how the onboarding process and policies work in practice.
