This place is pretty bomb. When I stepped in to see a movie during the days surrounding Christmas I…read morewas very impressed with the cost - $3.50! The concessions were pretty reasonably priced and the facility was very clean. The concessions looked fresh and the cost was pretty good there too. One thing that this cinema does exceptionally well is spacing out showtimes. Oftentimes movies all start around the same time. Here, it seems like there is a different movie starting each hour. With so few screens that is pretty impressive. I enjoy just stopping in and choosing whatever the nearest showtime is and going to that film, whatever it may be. The only reason I deducted a star was the staff. It was grossly apparent that the staff behind the counter did not want to be there at all. Moreover, the ticket taker offered the most obnoxiously loud and sarcastic "HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ENJOY YOUR MOVIE" to everyone that passed. While this was surrounding Christmas it was not Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, so it's not as though the boss pissed on their presents by making them work. And it wasn't just one staff member with an attitude, it was all 5 that I encountered. All in all, a good thing on a rainy day at Cedar Creek.

Went to see toy story 5 and the picture was so dark you could not tell what was going on. Theater…read moreemployee said nothing could be done once the movie started. Don't they screen their movies before hand to make sure the picture is up to snuff. Very disappointed

Hometown Cinemas - For a small town, this theater is absolutely awesome. It is modern, neat, and clean. It shows first run movies, and offers a matinee price!

I want to give a full-throated endorsement of this business, especially as a Downtown Bryan…read moreresident, yet I have serious reservations. 1.) This historic venue deserves better historic interior decor. I recognize the current owners didn't make the renovations to the space, but as a single screen venue...it should feel special, distinct and one-of-a-kind experience from front door to lobby to theatre. It doesn't. 2.) The online website and programming of what's on screen is not extra special. First run films are better left to the cineplexes. This space would suit a well-curated art house, classic cinema, and rarely seen films for a large swath of audiences in the Brazos Valley. I live right around the corner and the 50th Anniversary screening of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon was the first film since their launch (in current iteration)...it was fun to experience on a large screen. 3.) What is unclear from the online presence is that food can be served to your seat. I looked extensively in the sight but this was not evident to me until we arrived. The menu is very pedestrian, burgers, greasy fries and more fried things, and standard salads. Again, nothing special or unique. 4.). Why are tickets for future screenings unavailable since they are already advertised? Also, there was a lot of noise in the lobby during the film and the house lights did not come up after the film concluded. I WANT to support a local one-screen experience Downtown, but how I miss the reopening days of this place when it was diversely curated and a human being sat in the ticket booth to welcome you into the Experience of The Queen. Her uniqueness is not being capitalized upon, regrettably.

Food is great, and cheaper than star cinema. Great small theater feel. The theater only shows one…read moreto two trailers and then jumps right into the movie.

Upon entering the 2nd floor was a concession stand, colored brightly like Miami Vice era.. we were greeted by an attendant before walking the hallway to the theater rooms. The seating was roomy and very comfortable the armrest/drink holders were large enough for your items. The screen was clean and very clear. The sound was impressive because, I coukd hear every little note n noise in the movie. Or maybe I was just into watching Michael. We had snack sized butter popcorn n water for snack. Saving our appetite and calories for dinner.

You purchase tickets at the kiosk when you enter, then head upstairs to the theaters. The decor is very minimal with a mid-century modern feel in both the furniture and color palette. There's a small seating area along with a snack station upstairs. The theater itself was great - big, soft leather recliner seats, clear picture quality, and sound that was balanced perfectly. My only complaint is that it was freezing inside, so definitely bring a blanket or jacket. They also have a nice mix of current releases and classic films. Overall, it's a great spot for either a daytime movie or an evening out.
