Audio was off on the movie-took video for proof
    Sarah S.

Couldn't give 0 stars, probably the worst experience ever, and this is me NOT being a Karen. No upcoming movie previews, movie audio was off and not restarted. Then staff was tapping their nails to rush us out. Management reached out after complaining on how to make things right. I am not trying to get anything free or anything. We just want better experiences, and to do that you will need new staff including management.

They overcharge on their food and drinks then have the guts to tell you they don't refill your drinks when you just paid 6.50 for it

Seats were comfortable, it was easy to get in and out with someone who is mobility challenged. I would come to see a show here again.

I ordered a single crown and coke on the rocks. He had no clue. I showed him what a shot was and then told him how to make it. He did great. Then I asked for a beer as well, Coors Banquet. I had to point it out to him. The mixed drink tasted great so I left him a $5 tip and a fist bump. The wife had bought seats online so we just had to find them. The seats are very worn and kind of dirty. We were in the recliners with heaters. The heaters only stayed on for a few minutes and I don't think mine really worked that well. They kept turning off on their own. We waited about 1/2 an hour for the previews and subliminal messages to end and the movie finally started. We watched Super Mario Galaxy. The movie was good. The air conditioner was on the entire time. Note to self- bring a blanket next time. Once the movie ended we grabbed all our trash and threw it away. We made pit stops at the bathrooms on our way out. They were clean. Then we left. Had a great time with the wife and daughter.

It was pitch black outside, cold and rainy and it was a long walk around the back to where we had parked in front. It felt very unsafe both the ground we were walking on and for a crime event. We're older & very fortunately able to walk but if I had any issues it would have been very dangerous or impossible for us. Something is very wrong with this. The staff put us in an unnecessary dangerous position just to keep their floor clean.

I've been to this movie theater 10 times already. We live 20 minutes away, the drive isn't bad considering the movies are usually showing on Tuesdays and Thursdays in 3 - 4 theaters. Tickets are first come first serve. No reservations required online - I highly recommend coming early. If you see a school bus pull in the parking lot RUN inside like your life depends on it. We come early, so the theater is usually clean. Popcorn is hot and well seasoned - if you want extra seasoning for when you get home, just ask for it. They have free small containers.

An employee told me I could not bring it in and that I would need to buy their roughly $6 Dasani water instead. I did not argue. I took my water back to my car and returned. When I came back, the same employee asked to search my bag to make sure I had not brought the water back inside. What immediately bothered me was that I had just watched a non-Black couple enter with their belongings without being asked to open or search anything. I told her I had followed the rule and left my water in the car, but I still opened my bag. She rolled her eyes at me. I said, "God bless," and walked away. A female security guard then aggressively asked, "Who are you talking to?" even though I was not speaking to her. I had my children with me, and I told them exactly what I was teaching my kids: we follow rules, but we also speak up when we are treated differently. I cannot claim to know anyone's intent, but I know what I personally witnessed: I was searched while the non-Black customers immediately ahead of me were not. As a Black woman, the racial undertone of that interaction was impossible for me to ignore. Between the aggressive treatment, inconsistent enforcement, and outrageous concession policies, this was one of the most uncomfortable movie-theater experiences I have ever had. I was so upset afterward that I could barely enjoy the movie I paid to see. Management should review how these policies are being enforced and how customers are being treated. I will spend my money elsewhere.

But I was thrilled to know that they reopened it for multi-purpose events. I first came during the soft opening during the Fiddlers' Reunion weekend & saw a live concert happening. I also came for the "Art On The Bricks" event. It's neat that they can move the stage, since for the soft opening the stage was on the right brick wall (with the audience portable fold-out chairs situated so that the left & right were further apart than the front & back), & for "Art On The Bricks" the stage was on the back wall (with the windows & view of the town square parking lot behind it). For the art show, there was more space to look at tables of displayed artwork, munch on finger foods (catered by Railway Cafe, next door), sip on drinks (wine, water, or tea), & you could mingle around or sit down (upstairs in the balcony or at some standing-friendly downstairs tables). The restrooms are also nice, & very well-maintained, with plenty of multiple stalls. The upstairs balcony is really neat. It's a great place to sit & eat at small tables (or move them together for bigger groups), or you can sit at a bar-like table overlooking the balcony if you have a smaller group. Overlooking the balcony was an incredible view! I'm staying posted on future events held here, because I definitely want to keep coming back!

I managed to get one here for a bit more than I would have liked to spend, but the hotel was nice, the room was clean, and the limited staff I came in contact with were all lovely. When I arrived around 4pm, the woman at the front desk was unfortunately letting the customer in front of me know that their room was not ready, as a large football team had stayed the night before and left late, leaving their cleaning crew scrambling to get rooms cleaned for the new influx of SFA family members. She was very apologetic. I assumed that meant my room would also be delayed, but when she asked my name, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was actually ready. My guess is that the other couple likely requested a king room, whereas I had opted for double queen room so my kiddo could get a break from her dorm for one night. As I mentioned, the room was very nice and clean as were the public areas. Even the cleaning lady I walked past to get to my room was very friendly. If you're ok with the price, I'd highly recommend this location.

Unfortunately, my experience after actually arriving was very different. I traveled to Lufkin for work and chose to stay here because of how close the hotel was to my work location. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel staff, who were absolutely phenomenal and very kind. Honestly, the staff is what makes this review so disheartening to write. My first room had baby roaches in it, and to be clear, I did not have any open snacks or food in the room. On days two and three, I continued coming back to ants in the sink, which was already frustrating. However, the worst part was waking up to roaches in the bed. I even left one of the roaches underneath a cup so the staff could see it. When the room was cleaned, the towels were replaced, but the roach was still there underneath the cup. I checked out on Friday and returned on Sunday, when I was placed in a different room. Thankfully, I did not experience any pest issues in the new room, but I did have another concern the door did not lock properly. Another disappointment was the pool. We were really looking forward to spending some time by the pool after work, but it was green and clearly not usable. That would have made the work trip much more enjoyable. Again, I truly want to acknowledge how wonderful and helpful the staff members were throughout my stay. They were the highlight of the experience. However, because of the roaches, ants, bed issue, door not locking, and the condition of the pool, I unfortunately do not see myself returning in the future.
