This is not a dollar store. The items in the entry that are beaded actually were starting at $100. There was a stroller that was next to the cash register that had a $190 sticker on it. There was a disco ball hanging from the ceiling, feather boas, dog toys, craft supplies and an amalgam of products that were thrown together without rhyme or reason. There were dollar store type items, but I didn't actually find anything for a dollar. Most items were $2.00 and way up. There was nothing that struck me as a really great deal. In a store like this, I would expect a good deal. Product was packed into every conceivable spot and extended up to the ceiling in many instances, making many things inaccessible. If you want to pay regular price, you can always shop at a regular department store. I'm visiting Dad and he took me here. He said I could find anything I was looking for here. He may be right. I found the envelopes I wanted. The store is still overwhelming though. They need a much bigger space. Staff was friendly enough, even if one struggled with the tax math a little. I had the most terrible experience at this store in Birch Run today. My 2 year old daughter moved a few items onto the floor and the lady working behind the desk came around the aisle and told me that I need to tell her to pick it all up, this was after I heard her loudly complaining about picking something else up in a different aisle. When it came time to pay she gave me the total in a very rude tone and threw my change into my hand. I am so disgusted at the way this woman treated me and my toddler over her normal toddler behavior. I will never go to this store again and I will make sure I spread the word on the absolute awful custom service. read more
