The people in the office are very nice and helpful through the process of choosing your professionals for your wedding day, making payments, pre-wedding planning, post-wedding music selections... they were great on everything! We hired 2 wedding photgraphers and a videographer. They arrived at the location for pre-wedding pictures on time (actually they were early). They gave us very good direction during the photo/video session. In the house we were getting ready they even moved stuff around to make sure we would have great pictures. On the phone conversation with Ilze, our main photographer, I explained to her the big problem I have about having my eyes closed in most pictures. She listened and made sure to check that she had good shots with my eyes open. She was also very efficient through formal family and romantic pictures to make sure we could have the pictures done within our short time frame ( a bit over 1 hour). She was very friendly and the pictures turned out amazing!! Tracy, our second photographer, also did an amazing job! She took great shots of the guys before the cerimony. I also loved how well she captured the details of the decoration in the reception venue.. the centerpieces, the guest book, the cake, the gift table... all the details we spend so much time planning but we barely get to enjoy during the wedding and now we can remember them forever through her pictures. Patruck was our videographer, he was also very nice, from the phone conversation till the end of the wedding. We still didn't receive our wedding video, but i am 100% sure it will be amazing just like everything that Mike Staff have done.

Their services came highly recommended, stating they had a ton of experience and were all-around nice guys. I was already on the fence about having a DJ as it was. We were having an afternoon wedding and were trying to keep costs low. The reception was only 3.5 hours long... I needed a good price in order to actually book someone. I already had a few quotes and wasn't impressed with any of the prices, so what did I have to lose? I went to their website to do some research and gave them a call. I got Brett, who was incredibly friendly over the phone. He totally understood our situation about having a DJ but gave us hope that there's good DJs out there willing to give a good price on a Sunday wedding. We met him at a local Starbucks to sign the agreement. He went over every section of the contract in detail so we completely understood what he was responsible for and what we were responsible for. And he was incredibly friendly. His personality type gets along with everyone. I love people like that. He accepted payment through Paypal, which was incredibly convenient for us. His website was really intuitive, with detailed forms for us to fill out with details about the ceremony, the timeline of the reception and even a music form so we could choose what songs we wanted him to play. On one of the forms, I made it clear what music I didn't want to hear and he totally stuck with that at the reception. One thing I totally appreciated was how Brett was willing to do the outdoor music preceding the ceremony for no extra charge. We were having an extremely short ceremony, so I just wanted music to lead us down the aisle. We offered to pay extra but he said it wasn't a big deal. How sweet is that? Up until the day of the wedding, Brett stayed in perfect contact with me. He even called me the day of the wedding to make sure I was staying calm (rain on my wedding day when the ceremony was supposed to be outside... of course I wasn't calm.) But it was a nice gesture. The ceremony was moved inside and Brett was awesome with the change of plans. He still played our processional music, jazzy music during dinner and finally dance music after dinner was served. One detail we totally loved was that Brett wore a pink and purple tie so he matched our wedding colors! Small detail that made a big difference. Everyone told me they loved our DJ. Some people even thought he was a personal friend of ours because he was so friendly and personable while on the mic. He played the exact music that I wanted to hear at my reception... classic rock with current dance hits mixed in. It's like he knew me my whole life with the way he nailed my musical preferences. He did perfect. I couldn't say enough nice things about MotorCityHDJ. They turned us from an "on the fence" couple to "we totally needed a DJ" couple.

*WEDDING VENUE REVIEW*…read more We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here, as well as our bridal party photos, and we couldn't have been any happier with the results! We stumbled on this place via a Facebook advertisement. We had been trying to find another venue to move to because our current one was not cooperating because of pandemic uncertainty. After talking with Haley in person about our day and what we were looking for our of this place, we absolutely could not pass it up. The only day they had available for the Fall was the day we were going to get married on, September the 11th. Working with Haley throughout our journey to the big day was very easy and we experienced no issues the entire time with any of the planning, coordination with vendors, or anything that kept changing on our end that we needed to communicate with. We were offered a food tasting with our families, then got to have our rehearsal dinner here as well. Even on our big day, we had the ceremony and reception in the same place. On our big day, I was working on a lot of the last minute set up or overviews of the venue while my wife was getting ready. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the staff here kept me as calm as I could have been. The ceremony looked beautiful as well as the reception. All of the coordination was done correctly and efficiently. Our guests who attended the wedding regularly talk about how beautiful it was as well as how great the food was! We could not have asked for a better experience and a better day for our wedding. Very impressed with how efficient and prepared this venue was to host an event.

Our wedding was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (great way to save money and it's like a Saturday night wedding since most people have Monday off), we had about 120 people and our ceremony was held outside on the golf course. The first thing that amazed my husband and I was the view from the dining room- one wall is floor to ceiling windows that overlook the golf course, and it is beautiful. The ceremony location is an open area right near the golf course and was a nice simple place to hold the ceremony. The staff provided excellent service - from our initial meeting with the banquet manager to the wait staff on the big day. Leading up to the wedding the manager was helpful in planning our wedding to make sure all the details were set. Upon arriving at the club house on the wedding day, some of the tables were set up incorrectly and the staff immediately fixed them. One of the highlights was the bartenders - some wedding venues won't allow shots, not this place. The booze was flowing - LOTS of shots, giant martini glasses filled with deliciousness, and all the standards - beer, wine, mixed drinks. In looking at different venues, Paint Creek was one of the best values we found. A buffet dinner with two entrees (chicken and roast beef carving station) and the standard salad, rolls, potato, veggies, plus the middle level bar (Captain Morgan, Seagrams, etc. not well and not Grey Goose..), cheese & crackers and veggies as appetizers, and including tax and gratuity and cake cutting was about $50 per person. Adding fancier appetizers was a small addition to the price. This was their Sunday price, so a Saturday night would be a little more expensive. There was no room rental fee or a ceremony fee. Paint Creek has only been doing weddings for about 5+ years and they've started doing more over the past 2-3 years and they are doing a great job. I could not have been more pleased with the food, bar, service and price and would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

During the planning process, Mary Ann was extremely attentive to what we wanted. During subsequent meetings, she always remembered our requests and had meticulous notes even a year later! She asked us what was most important about our wedding and we told her the timeline--we really wanted things to flow smoothly! She helped us create a master sequence of events that we ultimately went with, and our wedding flowed beautifully. We had so many compliments on our wedding and timeline that Mary Ann helped create. She is so much more than just a DJ! She felt like a true friend who had your back by the end of the evening. During the wedding, so many guests complimented our music. She nailed the song selection and read the room like a champ. She had the dance floor going the entire night and thoughtfully placed the songs I told her were most important to us. Ugh- she just nailed everything and was so adored my us, our family, and guests. Thank you so much Mary Ann!!

We had a very short engagement and were thrilled that we were able to book her given the brief three months that we gave her to set up for our big day. She was such a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful for the advice she shared with us as well as the patience she had for us in our indecisiveness and seeming inability to meet deadlines. She was always happy to give feedback on and accommodate my goofier song ideas where I was able to fit them in. She is a true professional and we were really at ease knowing that she had everything handled alongside our day-of coordinator with regard to keeping the event on schedule, announcing us at the right time, corralling guests and pulling them aside when they needed to be gathered for photos, etc. The evening went without any issues whatsoever - even with a rain shower that almost threw our schedule off - and all the minute-by-minute items on our day-of schedule were nailed to a tee. She had a huge hand in the fact that we were able to actually be present and enjoy our own wedding day as opposed to running around like maniacs checking things off of a to-do list or wondering where we were supposed to be at any given time. She does a really great job with song selection too and played all the music I gave her as well as some of her own picks which was really helpful in the situations that I struggled to come up with ideas of my own. She is very thorough (but not tediously so) in the way she tries to get to know your music tastes and we never for a minute worried about what song was going to be playing next. She has a great talent for reading the room and playing the right tracks at the right time. As I told her after our wedding was wrapped up, if I had to go back and plan everything over again I would have picked her again ten times out of ten. Do yourself a favor and book her if she is available for your event!

He was so professional and, for me, more importantly, he was so responsive and so flexible to the ever-changing and improvised nature of my wedding! We were changing plans throughout the night, delaying key moments (the bouquet toss, the speeches, etc) or adding new events (flash-mob) and he was able to respond quickly to the chaos and didn't once get annoyed. Tim and his assistant Don did everything possible to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible - acting as liaisons between us and the building manager, wait-staff and our bridal party. THEY WERE AWESOME. He also did a good job with the music making sure that the old people had there moment and the young people did as well. Even though I told him he could go home at 11:30 PM, he stayed until midnight because guests wanted to keep dancing - that's how great they were. Also, he was sooooooo nice and seemed genuinely excited for my husband and me, celebrating with us throughout the night. Tim is more than a DJ - he's an all-around manager and a key right-hand person on your wedding day. I recommend him 100%! If you want a personal recommendation, please ask Tim to have you contact me, Grace, and I would be more than happy to talk to you in person.
