My original review was not very good. At the request of Mgr. Joe I removed it to give him a chance to make it right and he did. I believe he did everything possible to make me satisfied and I am. I am not a fan of some of their subcontractors and I will say the exact same thing I said in my previous review, line up your own installer. That's the only fault. read more

Total scam, no honesty or integrity! I purchased 1050 dollars in tile two months ago and was told whatever I don't use they would take back ( I informed him that I would not start the project until June). Well upon finishing my job I went to take back the tile and the employee at the Ormond beach store told me that they don't don't have my tile in stock anymore and would not take it back (the exact words were "twelve boxes don't do anything for me). The employee then must of been done talking to me as he was very rude and short. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere where the company is honest and not full of liars. read more

Purchased Flooring from them. They had one of their independent installers call me. Hermans Flooring. Guy called and set up an appointment. He shows up an hour and fifteen minutes late. No apology, explanation or anything else. He does the estimate and I tell him I will let him know by the next day. Since he said he could start the floors in 2 days we decided to go with him and forget about the late appointment. I called him the next morning, I have never heard from him again. I call to cancel the tile, because now I am spooked by, if they recommend this type of person, what kind of business are they? Jim tells me I will get my check within 7 days. That was on 11/22. ON 12/9, I call to say I still have not gotten the check. Mike tells me it must have been an oversight. He will make sure its processed and get it to me in a few days. 12/15 and I still have no refund. No I do not recommend. read more

Just don't bother! I will never buy anything from them EVER! First of all I really felt like I was wasting their time, I was only getting a small amount. I had my invoice and on it, the manager wrote that install for the one room of carpet amount I bought was $80.77. I had to add a few yds of carpet because of how the installer measured. But it wasn't much. 6 SY. I didn't feel comfortable with the installer. He was negative from the get go. I asked the mgr to get someone else. He told me he had no one else. The others were putting carpet in a church. Well, what're you gonna do, you've got a deadline on getting this carpet installed. So today was the day. When the installer completed the job he informed me the minimum charge was $150.00. I called the store, the mgr wasn't there, but Vinny Or Benny (a clerk)told me it's posted in his store that minimum charge is 150. My problem with the whole bunch of them is I think it's dishonest. If 150 is the minimum why did he make an effort to tell me it would be 80$. I expected to pay at least a third more, since I bought a third more carpet. 50 dollars isn't much, but feeling you've been cheated because you're 80 plus years old and alone, no one to support you, female at that it makes my blood boil. I did tell the installer Mo Moarhj I hoped he enjoyed it. I'm fairly certain there was a great deal of waste I paid for unnecessarily. The add on Insert was about a foot and a half up the wall. Seems like a waste to someone used to buying fabric for making clothes. There was a scheduling problem because of misunderstanding that part was handled fairly well. I learned a valuable lesson. I'll go to a firmly established store next time. Also, I don't appreciate people I don't know calling me by my first name. I felt disrespected when I got calls from the installer bellowing out "Hello, Joyce". I'm Mrs Gish! read more

Purchased two pallets of 12x24 tiles from Ormond Beach location. Several tiles were defective being the location closed on Sunday I went ahead and used the defective tiles (tiles were bowed). Went in Monday morning asking for a discount was told by Jay the only solution was to take up tiles bring back and they would replace based on what I brought back. I sad no way. The regional manager was to call me and no call yet. Not good business practice and very rude. read more

This store orange city store is a complete rip off. I was quoted one price in the store above the estimated total cost.( 40 sq. yards) padding and carpet was quoted. After sending their installer to do a professional measurement, which happens to be the same measurements that I took and gave to the associate in the beginning. The total came up to be 27 sq.yards. I went to their other store in Ormond Beach to see if they would quote the same. The Ormond store was almost $150.00 difference. If you do the math, 27 from 40 is 13 sq yards left. When I call the Orange City store and spoked to Nick, he stated that he did not owe me anything. Its ok and all good because we will see them in small claims court! People work hard for their money and to be ripped off like this, this is outrageous! read more

My wife and I bought over $700 worth of tile at the location on John Young in Ormond Beach. The tile was nice and pretty decent for the price, but after laying out a patch to see how it would look in our home the wife decided that she didn't like it. So I returned all the tile. I was told when I got there that they COULD NOT refund my money directly onto my credit card do to a new system update. Fine, I can understand that..... So I was told that a check would be sent to my house in 7-10 business days........... Well here it is almost a month later and still no refund check. I have called the store and talked to the manager twice already and I was assured that the "Main Office" was aware of the return and that a check has been "cut" for my refund. Still nothing! I have tried to locate a customer service number...... nothing! I tried calling the store and asking for the main office number and was told that this number can not be given out! Wait, what? Seriously?????? A customer who paid lots of money for a product who then returned the product and is having an issue cant contact the office? What kind of company allows this? If this was only $100 I could be fine with waiting, but we are talking about $700 plus dollars that is owed back to me and my wife. We work too hard for our money to be treated this way. Non the less, I and my family and friends will not be going to this business ever again. This is the worst way to run a business and to treat potential long term customers.......... We are in the process of updating our house and could have spent thousands there along with many other people we know who could have been potential customers. read more

This review pertains to one of their other stores in Key Largo. I could write hundreds of words describing my unfortunate experience, but I'm going to simplify my review by simply saying that the tiles I purchased had three inconsistencies with each other and were less than first quality. I also had a horrible experience with the installers who were recommended to me by management. They were a husband and wife team who were dishonest. They broke our contract and in doing so left me with having paid them two thirds of the total cost of the contracted job while having completed less than one half of it. I incurred thousands of dollars in extra cost to have the job completed and the construction of my new home was delayed in the process costing me additional rent money. When I brought these facts to Dollar Floor management I was accused of trying to find someone to blame. Having purchased tile to cover the entire interior of my home, including the stairs of the three floor building and two outside porches, I think I should have been treated with more respect and been given an apology. Instead, management dismissed my concerns and defended the installers. I presume they still recommend this Bonnie and Clyde team, who by the way are unlicensed, so beware. And get written certification that the tile you purchase is not defective in any way. I was only give verbal assurance, which turned out to be worthless. read more

This review is not about their products or services, it's about their management of an employee. My son was hired by them and was fired after working two weeks. When my son went to work ( a 25 mile one way trip) the following Monday morning (his last day was Sunday) he was told that he was fired. My son should've been told this ahead of time to avoid making this trip. My son was never given the reasons for his firing. If they were unhappy with my son's work performance they could've at least had a talk with him or given him a final warning as opposed to throwing him under the bus. He worked 99 & 1/2 hours in two weeks and when they gave him his check it was only based on working 80 hours. Before they would even give him his check my wife who was with my son at the time had to pay $50 (cash only) for two work shirts ($10 each at Walmart) that he was issued when he started this job. My wife was with him when they gave him his check and she showed them a detailed list of the hours, dates, starting and finishing times. Joe, the manager at the Ormond Beach store made a phone call and made the arrangement for my son to pick up a separate check (at a different location) for the missing 19 & 1/2 hours that my son was due. (They even shorted him the 1/2 hour.) This job paid $10 per hour and the only good thing about it was that they gave you quite a bit of hours to work per week. (6 day work week.) You also have to work Saturdays' for 7 hours and Sundays' for 5 hours. If my wife and son hadn't shown Joe the manager the detailed list of hours it appears to me that my son was only going to get paid for 80 hours as opposed to the 99 & 1/2 hours that he worked. Here are my 3 major complaints: #1. Attempt to not pay for proper hours worked. #2. Immediate firing with no warning or reasons given. #3. Overcharging of workshirts (cash only) so you don't stop a personal check or credit card. Joe, the manager should've and could've handled this in a much better way than he did. This store has an unhappy atmosphere with a high rate of employee turnover........I wonder why?......LOL. read more
