My husband and I just found out we had a silent miscarriage. We needed some supplies to prepare for our baby to pass through me when the time was ready so we went to this particular Dollar Tree. I had my 2-year-old with me who is currently potty training and he announced he needed to "poo poo." At the same time, I felt some bloody tissue pass through me, so we were both in need of a bathroom as soon as possible. I walked up to the checkout counter and explained our situation, but she responded with, "You'd have to ask our manager since we don't have a customer bathroom. She might be in the office over there." I knocked on the office door and explained my situation to her as well. Her response was a loud, "No, no, no, no customers are allowed." So I asked what I'm suppose to do if my son accidentally poops in their store and for my situation. She very quickly said, "Then I'll call the cops! If you do this on the floor I'll call the cops!" I think she saw that I was taken aback from her threat so she changed course and said, "The toilet's broken." At this point I probably should've just left, but I was so confused and wanted answers so I asked, "Then where do you and your employees go? Please I can do it in a bag if I have to. We just need somewhere private." She kept saying something like, "You can only pee in there, it won't flush anything else. It won't flush yours. You can go to Walmart. Just go to Walmart!" I left after that and was able to do and get what I needed to get through the rest of the day. There were many witnesses of this incident who I'm sure heard the whole conversation since the manager's office is right next to the cashier and checkout lines. My review here is not necessarily for the products or how the store is run, but for the utter lack of human kindness in a time that I specifically needed help. And the person who had the authority to open a bathroom door, not only actively refused and declined to help, but threatened to call the police on us. Perhaps I was being too entitled to ask to use a bathroom that was for employees only and hoping they'd make an exception for our specific case, or my questioning of her came off as disrespecting her authority so she came back strong and very defensively. In the end, we were able to make it to Walmart with minimal consequences for my son and for me. We'll never be coming back to this Dollar Tree again so long as that manager works there.

Well stocked, organized, friendly staff no long lines (at least for my visits) = me being happy. I…read moremean you can't ask for more from Dollar Tree!

I needed a hair pick for my son who has fairly tight coils, 3C to be exact. After not finding one in Ross', several stores down...the associate there recommended Dollar Tree. I decided to go in and at least look. Once I found the correct aisle, I saw the two options the store did carry and knew they wouldn't work for 2 reasons: 1) Both were plastic ; 2) Both were primarily for detangling much looser hair coils. Nothing wrong with that...but for my son, his coils are tighter and I needed the classic hair pick with metal rods. That said, I asked the cashier if she knew of any other hair picks in the store besides the plastic options I already saw. She became very uncomfortable, uneasy, looked down and away....then deferred to her manager because she wasn't sure. Her manager, a male, approximately 5'7" early to mid 60s approached me after he helped a customer. Once I described what I was looking for, he looked down, stepped towards me and said with an arrogant tone, "We don't have picks for THAT hair type. What we have here...is what we have." I was like stunned. He was like totally speaking down to me because I wanted a product he didn't have...not to mention, it was for a biracial child. I am so, NOT quick to judge when it comes to racial prejudice. But this one really felt like it. The icing on the cake was him not even offering to come over to the aisle to see what I was looking at...because maybe I possibly missed something. Nor did he even reference DollarTree.com as a place to check, where I now see they have another option the store did not have. So, I really wonder what kind of environment that manager is cultivating there overall for his employees??

First thing I grabbed was a basket because I knew I was going to fill that up with things I had no intention of coming in here for in the first place. Since I did have an objective when I came in here at first, I went straight to where the frames were. It has been a while since I had been in the aisle where picture frames are located, but it appears that they are lacking in that area now. There wasn't that much variety of the frames. Loads of diploma frames, but hardly any other sizes of frames. So many diploma frames that they had most of the aisle full and an endcap. I attempted to try and see if there were any variety in the type of diploma frames, but to my dismay all I got was embarrassment for myself. I attempted to pull one of the frames out of the display and they were packed so tight in there that the glass broke and kind of went everywhere. After that, I gave up on the frames. I walked the rest of the store, basically throwing random items into my basket. The store was fairly well organized and clean. Checking out was a bit of a choir. The associate was nice, but they only had one register open which made it a slow process.
