Although many stores were not open early that morning, we came across Haynes Furniture and chose to visit, even though we had not purchased from them in some time. Upon arrival, we received a warm reception from our sales representative, who demonstrated extensive knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy. The showroom had been significantly upgraded, and from a sales and in-store experience perspective, I had no immediate concerns. However, a complication arose during delivery. When the delivery team arrived, they informed us they could not remove our existing mattress and remote box springs because of a stain on the mattress. This was unexpected. Had this information been clearly communicated at the point of sale, I would have made alternative arrangements in advance or chosen not to purchase the bed. I would have disposed of the old bed beforehand and then completed the purchase. Subsequently, we were told that this information was included in the paperwork. In my view, burying critical details in fine print is not an adequate substitute for clear, direct communication especially when customers are making a substantial financial investment. Significant conditions such as this should be explicitly explained. I believe we were either misinformed or not adequately informed, which I consider unacceptable. I prioritize treating individuals with candor, respect, and professionalism, and I expect the same in return. This experience has left me feeling misled and dissatisfied. Consequently, I will not be purchasing from Haynes Furniture again. I strongly advise prospective customers to carefully consider alternative options before making a purchase.

Excited to try a black dress, I also picked out a perfume and some makeup. At home, I discovered that one strap on the dress was hanging by a thread and eventually snapped--clearly a defect. To make matters worse, the perfume bottle was cracked and completely empty. The receipt clearly states that items are refundable or exchangeable within seven days of purchase--and I was well within that window. So today I returned to Beautiful to exchange both items. I was told, "We don't allow exchanges on clothes--everything is checked before it leaves the store. You'd have to buy a new one." This contradicted the policy printed on the receipt. They also claimed the perfume was non-exchangeable--but ultimately made an exception and replaced it. The dress? No dice. It felt like a bait-and-switch: policies are printed in plain view but ignored in practice. If you're shopping here, beware--they won't honor clothing exchanges (or refunds), even when the printed policy says otherwise.

They even have a decent number of CDs although they are priced higher than many Goodwills. Staff seems to be all volunteer. The staffer I encountered really knew his books like nothing else and he really understood vintage vs newer and how many different categories were integrated with each other. He also understood how some other volunteers might improperly categorize things and where to optimally try to look. He could tell that I had a sense of the different array of things in the store too. I was a bit surprised when he told me that he was here only part time. He was trying to see if he could give me a discount as he could tell I a bit surprised about the CD price. Even told me if I got one more CD or DVD that it would be $1 more. However, it was near closing and I just kept the purchase I had decided on. Two of the three CDs I got turned out not to be a win for me. Lol that is how it goes. He told me he worked here part time. He may've assumed I would come back here regularly. That person can feel free to reach out via private message if he was looking to build something more outside of the store. He was staying professional- and I was starting to get tired from a long trip and didn't want to hold him up from near closing time. He noticed my unique choose your own adventure shirt (with quality choices on the back) stuck out to him as did several other people in public.
