I timidly approached the racks and realized that this truly is a Clearance Center from a price perspective - the markdowns are astronomical! I saw someone else say that it was worth the two hour drive, so I decided to tempt fate and cross my fingers that it would be just as good for me. Over $700 later, I left with gifts for nearly everyone in my life (including myself!). The highlight of the place is the women's dress section. It's huge and dresses for EVERY occasion. The amount of sequins in this place is unreal. The men's section is also enormous, as is the women's (non-dress) section, including a great plus-size variety. The shoe clearance section was all women's; there was another shoe dept but I never made it over there. The most underwhelming area was the kids department, and specifically the boys section. The girls section was decent, but the boys was crazy sparse. The baby department had a fairly good selection. The main focus here is ABSOLUTELY clothing, but there are some home goods. If you're making the visit, make sure you walk the whole store and aim for clothing!

I came into the Dollar Tree to have balloons blown up that I purchased elsewhere. I have lived in 4 states and Dollar Tree has always accommodated this request. I typically will purchase one of their balloons to have mine blown up. It's never been an issue. Today I came in to the Dollar Tree on Kimberly and Mrs. Beverly the cashier was absolutely amazing! While blowing up the ballon the manager came over and said I'll do this and asked Mrs. Beverly to return to the cash register. The manager ended up struggling herself and asked what number the balloon was, I shared it wasn't their balloon. She very rudely explained they were not allowed to do that and she was not going to get fired for it. 1st if Dollar Tree is terminating manager because they are blowing up balloons not from their store is CRAZY, just was not something to be shared with a customer. I explained I've always done this and she insisted I give her the names of the associates who did. Even after saying I don't remember she asked what they looked like and then said "you're just trying not to get them in trouble". This was a very odd interaction for me as a customer. What's baffling is I only came into the store to have the balloons blown up and ended up spending $23 of Memorial Day merchandise. As recommended by the manager, I will take my business somewhere else. Just not strategic thinking for a manager.

I didn't feel too safe walking the neighborhood to get to the store, (it was close to 1am in a…read morenearly deserted downtwon on a Saturday after all) and the clientele loitering outside the c-store was not the most desirable, however, once inside I felt very welcomed and at ease. The person behind the counter was helpful and made some suggestions for beers and the prices were reasonable. They have a large snack and alcohol selection as well as some smoking items.
