Then I started going around the sections, and everytime I saw something that I liked it would only be available in itty bitty sizes. They have some really cute dresses, and cute flowy tops, but the skirts and pants are meant for people without any curves at all. The pricing seemed a bit all over the place, too. One top is $39, then another $59, then a dress is $29, then another $72??? My business side was trying to figure out the pricing strategy, but I'm at a logical loss on this one. Overall, this store has potential, but needs a broader range of sizes and a more streamlined organization.

But I decided to give them a try today as I needed some new shirts. I'm glad I did. They must have new management. Merchandise is organized, floors clean, not crowded at all this morning, there were several associates visible to whom I could have asked for help if I had needed it. I did not require help as I found all that I needed quickly at fantastic prices. I found name brand shirts with a retail price of 55 to 65 dollars for an average of 15 to 20 dollars each. They had a good selection of styles from classic and conservative to crazy artsy, from full sized to thin, muscle shirts and stretchy shirts (way out of my league!) There were many name brands like Van Heusen, Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger, Greg Norman, and many more. Performance shirts, golf shirts, fishing shirts, dress shirts, party shirts, etc. I didn't look at the other departments except for a quick walk-through of the garden tools and decor section and was intrigued by what I saw. I was able to find what I needed, purchased several items and get out within 30 minutes. There was only one person ahead of me at checkout at 9 AM. Kudos to the current management. I'll be back.

Burkes Outlet is another store with about the same kind of merchandise and prices as TJ Maxx,…read moreMarshalls or Ross. Just less choice than TJ Maxx but much neater and more peaceful and pleasant than Ross. This one is located in between the JC Penny and the Big Lots store on Trenton and 281. When they first opened they had more merchandise. Because of a lack of customers they have cut back; there is a lot more space between racks, and fewer items on the racks. However, if you can't find what you're looking for at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, you may get lucky and find it here. It's certainly more peaceful. I hope they get more customers and will increase the merchandise again and give more competition to the other retailers.
