Easy to obtain a temporary shopping card for discounts while awaiting a permanent one in the mail. Very easy to shop. I have shopped Kroger's for 60 years and still have difficultly locating items at times, but at Food Lion it was effortless. Employees are so willing to assist if needed; one employee saw me looking for a plastic bag to package vegetables and ran and got me one. SWEET. Met the Manager, Kevin McGuire who was extremely nice and appreciative of my telling him that he had a nice store. Spent 27.00 and some change for a weeks groceries. UNBELIEVEABLE MEAT PRICES !!!!!!!!!!

This was the first grocery store we've been to since moving here (if you don't count Walmart or Costco). We used to frequent Publix back in NC. This location definitely has a better layout. We didn't interact with any staff nor did they look at us, which was fine. We were there for ice cream and pizza rolls and were on our way. Only left with ice cream. I'm sure that my doctor is relieved by the outcome, however, my metaphorical heart says otherwise. Maybe another day? Oh well.

Get some pliers from the back and let's see if this coat should even be on the floor! I didn't buy it and she suggested a nice cotton shirt instead... WTH?! So I, being a gym rat, wanted some compression pants and shirt. I found them. The changing room was closed. In a clothing store! What we still in lock down? Want to make pasta sauce from scratch but don't want to boil and peel the tomatoes (take that Al Gore), come here and get (they have a variety to chose from) red sauce cans the size of your head. Imagine how big my eyes get! The have some really well-prepared products and the usual industrial restaurant low-quality foods. Why pay $5 at Trader Joes for 6 ounces of sundried tomatoes when you can get a pound of them here for the same price? Like feta? They have the real Greek variety in a massive pounder bag that is resealable (insert seal sound). Blueberries at Kroger are roughly $5/pint. Here, you can get 4 pints for about $7. They do have limited fresh veggies and fruit. They cut meat and cheese to order. You can get everything from breakfast foods to dinner, snacks to super pleasing in taste dessert foods. Also, basic cleaning supplies come in super sized portions which are great on the budget (less the back). Overall, GFS is a time and budget saver. Great for buying large and saving more. Although the typical "shaped meats" and prepared sides haunt the shelves, take the time and you'll find high quality products amongst the ghostly waist increasers. My bracelet, which my granddaughter Khaleesi made me last Christmas, broke a few weeks ago. I was sad, made more sad because my fat fingers could not fix it. I remembered the kind manager at Michael's from previous helpful experiences so I thought she could direct me what to do. April guided me into the classroom where she worked on it for awhile - still answering other customer and colleagues needs while painstakingly stringing my beads together. Bless her. I learned how and why she genuinely loves working at Michael's, helping people with her beautiul smile. After many careful, creative minutes, April had my loving bracelet back together. What an absoutlely display of heartfelt kindness. I am going back with both grandaughters on Sunday for Make Break. And I have new friend with April.
