Nearly every pick-up order or visit in store, we find expired foods, kids yogurts past dates and meats leaking fluids and simple things like organic strawberries and blackberries out of stock nearly weekly. Lexington has very few options for healthy and clean food and this store really needs to be replaced ASAP. Would much prefer a high-end Publix or ALDI compared to this Kroger. We could use a Trader Joe's too around here. Some of us do want organic and health-conscious options...this Kroger barely keeps up with new brands and healthy food for those of us here who pay for that.

He insisted that both of us needed to be ID'd to purchase alcohol despite the fact that only my husband was the one purchasing. That would've been fine, but after complying with his request we just were saying how we get rules are rules, but that we thought the rule was a little stupid. He then proceeded to get a nasty attitude and he refused to sell to us. When I told both of the managers Kiersten and another gm (that i didn't catch the name of); Kiersten was not apologetic for her employees behavior and seemed very apathetic/indifferent towards my complaint. The second manager seemed more professional and heard me out and said he would talk with Justin. I'm mostly disappointed that neither of them thought to apologize for the situation and offer to ring us up on a different register. After the experience, we went to Krogers down the road. Had a great experience with a cashier Alexandria. 10/10 would recommend shopping at Kroger's.

Never buy gift cards at this Food Lion! I tried to purchase 4 $50 gift cards for my son using my…read morecredit card. The cashier told me they were denied. I thought there was a problem with my credit card so I went home to get my checkbook. When I returned, Glen the manager accused me of leaving without purchasing the gift cards. Then he said that two of the 4 had gone through. He told me he would void the sale and took my receipt. I was charged for all 4. Since I didn't have the receipt, I couldn't contest the charge on my credit card. I am out $228 and no gift cards!!!
