And, yes, some things are more expensive than at Shop N Save... it's a locally-owned grocer with a niche market, after all... SO that said, this place it pretty awesome. They've got all the good stuff: produce, recycled paper products, soy meat, tofu, gluten free chips, organic food, and they even have a small bulk section. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the store is always clean and bright. All of this--and they're located right off the 5-Star trail. I can totally ride my bike to get groceries. I also felt surprised that the store kept hygiene/beauty products locked up in a special section with an employee monitoring. The prices for most merchandise were about as low as you can find anywhere. I bought about 10 items, including a rug, cat treats, and hygiene products. The cashier accurately rang up my purchase.

Girl gave me my receipt with no thank you or any sort of acknowledgment. Went by the customer service counter to let them know that the girl overseeing the checkout had a horrible attitude. Lady at the cs counter acted like that this sort of customer service was something to be proud of. I highly doubt anything will happen because of my venting. I get it--not every single trip can be perfect. But when an employee acts like their job is beneath them, I'm gonna say something.

Maybe they are going to do like they did in Johnstown and revamp one of them, add an Ace Hardware inside. Anyway, I keep getting distracted here, because there isn't much difference between the two. I did notice a lot of people going in here and buying their beer and wine. A lot were just coming out with alcohol and nothing more. No judging, I get it, but you could have saved the hassle and got that at a nearby gas station as well. I actually find this one to be more of a hassle to get to. The intersection to enter the plaza is super busy all the time, plus they share the lot with other big box stores that just makes it a nightmare at times. But we all need groceries, so you kind of need the store.

Response from "balloon lady": "ughhh...I just finished making 40 balloons and really didn't want to do any more today..." Me: well, if you hand me the balloons I'd be happy to blow them up myself (half joking/half serious/thisisyourjoblady/Imanexperiencedballoonmaker). Needless to say, she pissed in my Wheaties, made the balloons and apparently hates her job.
