We weren't optimistic, and even less so when we saw a rough looking warehouse building inside a fence right under the power lines on Forum Parkway past the Tractor Supply. Boy were we in for a surprise. JD Salvager now specializes in modern furniture (mid-century especially), carefully selected and professionally restored. The warehouse is packed with amazing pieces. If you ever wanted to furnish and decorate your house like Don Draper's apartment, this is the place to do it. We had been looking for old stereo cabinets for our turntable and record collection and JD Salvager had 2-3 pieces that fit the bill. They also have some that they restored and added Bluetooth connectivity to so you can listen to your Apple Music collection through a vintage cabinet. We spent about 2 hours in the place just admiring the collection. And the prices are more than fair for beautifully restored vintage pieces. Many of the pieces there are yet to be restored so you can have your say in how that is done. So, if someone tells you to go to an old warehouse in Rural Hall if you're interested in vintage modern furnishings, don't think twice.
