Some things are rather random, but others are pretty expected. I've found that office/school supplies have been a rising source of anxiety for me in other stores, but the Dollar Tree has what you need. Seasonal items and quick toys are good finds here since they don't cost an arm and a leg for cute presents for nieces and nephews or party decor. The shelves are organized and sectioned off. I'm also surprised with the food options in the Dollar Tree. The shopping strip seems to have been something else at one point - My guess is the next door Golds Gym used to be a supermarket of some sort, but the great thing is that there's a large parking lot. Easy to get in and access I-77. The staff here are friendly. The line moves pretty quickly even though there may only be one or two registers open. You leave the store with a great sense of discovery and a ton of stuff (bang for the buck).

I asked if they were closing then was told 2 were fired and 2 more quit. There are U boats full of products , unboxed , all over the store. At checkout I asked the guy (who was standing inside , at night , with black sunglasses on ) when FEMA was coming. He didn't get it , I said it looks like a natural disaster took place here. I was so disappointed. I came for two items , found one but the other had not been unboxed. He waited on me just fine , no complaints there but the store is an absolute disaster. I feel sorry for the workers trying to deal with this.

I enjoy going through each and every aisle in the store to search for new items. I, especially love getting my annual garden seeds from DT. The seeds are NON-GMO and they are 4 packets for $1.00! Compare that to other local store prices where one packet can cost you anywhere from $1.49 to $3.49 depending upon the type (ie., organic) of seed. I always find every seed I need here. DT even sells the starter soil and growing trays, if you need it. Dollar Tree is always my go-to spot for birthday cards and balloons. It's hard for stores to compete with these prices and that even goes for the super stores! In my opinion, everyone should carve out some time to go through their local DT aisle by aisle. You never know what bargains you can find until you look. This location has ample parking and it's conveniently located next to BiLo on the east side of Statesville. The funny part about them closing early tonight when we stopped by at 8:45 PM to get a couple things (they close at 9PM per their sign) was that an employee has illegally parked his car in front with no one in it, store employees were still inside and we weren't the only people trying to stop in. I had a previous review showing the mess this store can be. It's been better for short periods of time but overall is just poorly run. Most people o know will drive up the road to a location closer to Mockesville or Clemmons. If sales have been down here it's because the community has tired of this location and the effort they have put forth for multiple years. Avoid if you can - Better places to stop - this location really doesn't care. 6 year opinion - change my mind.

What I always find really neat about this store (as with other Dollar Tree's) is the variety of useful and decorative seasonal items at this store. Last spring I was able to buy ridiculously cheap seeds which did germinate and produce some pretty decent vegetables. Great place to get seasonal potholders or platters for adding holiday cheer to your house. The mylar balloons I get from here last a really long time too. One balloon we got in February lasted weeks. They did fill that balloon fresh up with helium, so you might not have as good luck if you get one of their pre-filled balloons. Another great item to get is there frozen fruit, they are pretty decent and come out to be a lot more economical than normal stores. The store is generally kept very tidy. Sometimes the checkout lines can be a little slow, but this is always in flux like any store. For me it just gives me a longer opportunity to roam around the store and find other small things to grab for my house.

The place was clean, plenty of parking, easy to find and right next to an amazing place for males to get hair cuts! Staff here was extra friendly as well - so I'm upping this one to four stars!
