Let me tell you- I'm so happy I did! I got 3 packs of plant based meat for .99 cents, and a lot of other items worth around $6 each just for .99 cents. If you pay attention, yes Ingles can be a bit pricy, but notice the sales- you can find prices here better than any other store if it's on sale! They carry a LOT of local items and items made by small businesses too, which I love. Lastly, their bakery, deli, salad bar, and hot food bar are insanely large! A must try? The pistachio muffin! The sign has faded, and could use an upgrade since I couldn't even tell it was open if not for the cars parked outside. There was a solid working crowd ordering when I walked in. The grocery store itself is just a legacy at this point. Good spice rack selection, but then the next section to stick out is a stack of DVDs and PS3 games beside some soft drinks and chip bags. It seems most customers were ordering cold meats and subs, but I decided to go with the basic burger with mustard and pimento cheese. It was heavenly. It did cost $6, which is a little on the pricy side for Morganton, but I'm happy to have finally stopped by. Definitely a hidden gem, and I'll have to check out the ham or a sub next time I'm visiting.

Like 3 isles of Christmas stuff. I found some adorable little cactus ornaments for next year. They were 50% Off so $1.00 for 4 little ones. I bought 2 packages I thought they were adorable! We had about 18 of us that were traveling together with the senior adult group from church. I was…read morethe bus driver. They decided they wanted to stop into the Apple Hill Orchard to pick apples. They charge you $3 each if you just want to walk in the orchards and not pick anything. If you want to pick apples they charge you the $3 each to walk around + what you pick. They have a general store you can walk around in and purchase bakery items in. We purchased a bag of Pink Lady Apples that we picked in the orchard, a bag of apples fritters. We had an apple and it was very good! The only negative was when we called and said we were coming they said no problem. When we arrived and they saw we had a bus we got the impression they were too happy because of the limited parking. I parked in the grass area on the side away from the building. No issues. If you do bring a large vehicle here just be prepared there might be limited parking. As a last resort you could park it at the church at the bottom of the hill and walk up.
