Splurging with an occasional Friday night take-out pizza, from Papa Johns. Transportation is the main key to this location. Cars are too expensive; a bus can go to any of the malls. But here you can ride a bicycle, since the roads are wide enough. And with the connecting bicycle trails to Fort Wayne. Sorry Glen-brook you blew it. Lastly, the feather-in-the-cap for Meadowbrook is it's close proximity to the railroad tracks. People can ride them until the locomotives slow down right before arriving or leaving the railroad yards. Get off the cars and walk fifty yards? Then they can shop or rest, even camp out (in the wooded area between the tracks and the mall). Until the next morning and catch the train going the other direction, all for free!

They have also had some really cute and functional face masks here during the height of the pandemic. I purchased a couple COIN 1804 masks from them and those turned out to be my favorite ones. You could get anything from vacuum cleaners to home decor, toys, etc. Unfortunately, in the past few months, it has actually gotten significantly worse. I am not sure if they are about to go out of business, but most of the items in the store are holiday items from Halloween and Christmas. I miss the days where you could buy brand new toys for six dollars on the day they restocked. I also miss the old Manager lady who kept order. It's a good thing they don't have great stuff or else it would probably be chaos. I hope they turn things around, but it's not looking very promising at this time.

She was yelling at parents, demanding that our children be "attached to us" -- not a few feet away, not nearby -- attached. Her tone was hostile, rude, and incredibly inappropriate for a store that families frequent. The entire atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, she was smoking right outside the entrance, forcing my 2-year-old and 6-year-old to walk through clouds of smoke. It was completely inconsiderate and avoidable. When I spoke with a cashier afterward, they admitted that she's a frequent complaint, which makes it even more disappointing that nothing has changed. This could be an amazing place to shop, but until management is addressed, I won't be returning -- and I won't recommend this location to other parents.
