Yes, prices have gone up. I will gladly pay premium for garden raised produce. Maybe they will toss the greenhouse veggies and get back to truly selling from their farm. Meanwhile, too many true veggie stands around the area. So I won't be back.

Just inside the store you find a statue of a lion holding a shield, a statue of Elvis, and a third statute of Marilyn Monroe in her famous skirt scene. I am unsure what this has to do with a supermarket. I then walked into the actual market and was surprised at how much smaller it looks than in the website. I also discovered as I began exploring that its "international" designation is a bit overstated. It does have food from one or two European countries but its mostly hispanic and really mostly Mexican. Was i a bit disappointed? Yes. That said, i did find a lot of food that my culture also loves in here that overlaps. Firstly, i found actual green plantains! Usually in the supermarkets near my home they sell plantains but they are rarely green. To be able to fry some up and have tostones! Yes!!!!! I also found other products my family and I would love including plantain chips, malta, yuca, tamales, Jamaican patties, and croquettas. The croquettas were of the frozen variety and sadly only in chicken, i prefer ham. I was also very happy when I found Pineapple Nectar for my mom. She loves the stuff and hasn't had any since we moved! So i did end up buying quite a bit when I came here and i will likely come back again. The selection was above average for a small town with many options for frozen fish, butchered meats, dry goods include noodles/soups/snacks etc. The veggies look okay in the fridge. Some things I would not consider buying would be the cooked duck (you never know how long it has been in the fridge and bakery items as well). The produce is fresh but on the verge of a day or two going rotten. So eat right away. Support local for sure.

I'm thinking with the grouchy staff with tattoos and no manners that perhaps this is a half-way house for prison inmates to go back into the work force. (How can you be out of your main items at 1pm on a Saturday??? Don't you have someone checking stock for your busiest days??? Lame.
