Their motto is "Good Stuff Cheap" and I agree to an extent. I found me a good book in here. I really like their book section and especially the Inspirational section. I bought a women's Bible at another location. They are usually jammed packed with items. Take your time and look. Also, check expiration dates!

We had our kido with us and decided it was still worth taking a look, regardless of the very hateful messages on the front door. Upon entering the owner told us we couldn't come in with our child because the business was, "too small." I literally was too confused to argue much but said something along the lines of, "that doesn't seem very accepting, even though your sign outside makes you seem, like you want to seem, "very accepting." Owner started freaking out, pretty sure he's on drugs, but that doesn't seem off par.. go woke, go broke? Bet this business only last a few more weeks.. zzzz

I remember visiting North Carolina and going to Gabe's. I love that it's a discounted bargain store. We pulled up and there's plenty of parking. This store is - odd.. they do carry a wide variety of lightweight home furnishings and decor, seasonal items, beauty, clothing, shoes, housewares, toys, gourmet food items, accessories, and baby stuff.. but it's so disorganized.. it's nearly impossible to look for anything.. it's like if Dollar General and TJ Maxx had a baby- it could be Gabe's.. They occasionally have a few items of interest, yet the displays are awful) yet better than than in comparison to the day they first opened)........but it's always a bit of a eyesore.. it always seems as if the manager needs to straighten the place up.. it is chaos!! Or vest are hit or miss/ sometimes low, occasionally off the mark.. I've seen carhart jackets and j crew pants for decent prices and yet I've looked at tankless candles pretty cedar as much as the original retailer and cheap looking sesdinal decor I can buy at dollar tree at an 1/8th the price.. We bought ground round (95% lean), NY strip steak (we shared 1 steak and it was too much, but delicious) and center cut pork chops. $30. Really! A week ago I paid $20 for 3 pounds of 85% lean ground beef at Meijer!! Brant is a 40 minute drive for us, but I think it's well worth the drive. I'm hooked.

It's a maze of every second hand treasure you could think of. My favorite was looking at all the vintage clothing. So many gorgeous sweaters- even 100% wool. I found the clothing prices to be a bit steep for secondhand, but most were quality materials so I get it. Didn't find anything to purchase this time, but if you like to window shop like me, then this is still the place for you!
