LOVE LOVE LOVE Coffee Beanery! I didn't think they had one in Flint anymore but I spotted this on the way home. Such a cute hidden location and friendly Associates. This is a perfect spot for a Sunday brunch or an afternoon of catching up with a friend. Highly recommend

They have the best tasting coffee. So obviously, any specialty coffee is great because the base coffee is excellent.

A feeling I cannot explain unless you were alive during that decade to experience the authenticity of what a diner was and should be. The decor is phenomenal. The food is amazing. I even knew what I wanted before I got there, I love, love, LVE the Southern Omelette. My friend chose the Meat Lovers Omelette with the Flint Chili Sauce on the side. Additionally, we both wanted the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. According to the menu, that can be added to any breakfast for $4.99. We're both Senior citizen. We typically eat part of our meals out then, bring the rest home to enjoy the next day. That was our plan for the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. When our server presented the bill, I was taken aback by the total. It was almost $50.00; I just knew it shouldn't have been that much! I brought it to the attention of our server. (I wished I remembered her name; she was a sheer delight). She took the bill and said she would resolve the problem. Shortly thereafter, another young lady (I presume a manage), approached our booth in an huff asking about what we'd ordered. I replied the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast as I pointed to it on the menu with the highlighted Add to Any Breakfast for $4.99. We were told that since we were getting the French Toast to go, the $4.99 price was not in play. That didn't make sense to us. We only ate 1/2 our omelettes and we were taking the remainder of that with us. So let me see if I've got this correct. If we had opted to have the French Toast sent out with our omelettes, then requested to go containers, that would have been permissible? It seems to me, it would have been more financially prudent to make the adjustment (at least in this instance) instead of just canceling the French Toast. Before I could offer my logic, the young lady abruptly walked away in a huff while shouting to the kitchen staff, forget the French Toast. My goodness, what happened to the customer is always right? What began as a day of celebration turned sour within minutes. I haven't been back since. Yes, the food at Mega is yummy delicious, no denying that. The manger though, was so nasty and rude, I don't plan on ever going back.

Nice bagel/sandwich shop, but definitely not as inexpensive as you might assume…read more Don't get me wrong- this is a nice bagel shop, especially for the mall. They're definitely doing something right. The bagels are incredibly fresh and obviously baked daily, plus the breakfast sandwiches are delicious, as well as their freshly baked cookies. It's obvious some TLC has gone into the mix here. If you expect stale bagels and a commercialized taste, you might be in for a surprise. The food is fresh. I don't think the staff would let a stale bagel leave in a customer's hands. No joke. The only problem is the price. I get that everything is fresh. Shouldn't every bagel shop be selling only the freshest of fresh goodies? I think so. The prices here at Bagel Brothers are a tad high, especially on the baked goods and treats, like cookies, muffins, biscotti, etc. Most of the baked goods are in the $9 price range. I think paying that much for a cookie, as good as it is, is a bit excessive. It's not made of gold. The bagel sandwiches are a bit higher than most of the competition, too, but I don't believe they're as out of line in price as the sweets are. It's just a little bit steep, especially for the area. Located in the former Cinnabon location at GVC, Bagel Brothers opened this year and since then, I have enjoyed their bagels and cookies a few times now. I was actually pretty excited to try it, but not so excited about their prices. Again, considering the area and the competition, it's a little high, but the quality is certainly there. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate muffins and their fresh bagels, which come in a variety of flavors, including pumpernickel, whole wheat and sun dried tomato (my personal favorite). Personally, I think the Lox bagel, with salmon and sprinkled with capers, is the best bet. I think it was about $7. Most of the loaded bagel sandwiches are in the $6-$8 range. Regular toasted bagels with cream cheese are a little over $2 (gourmet cream cheeses are extra, but the regular cream cheese suffices). If you want to spring for the gourmet cream cheese, get the dill. It's worth the extra money. They also have a large selection of sandwich wraps, as well as soups. I haven't tried the soup yet, but the broccoli and cheese looked pretty good. So far, service has been fine, but nothing out of the ordinary either way. The location is great, right on the first floor and away from the food court upstairs, which is occasionally a zoo. There is some seating out front, so you don't need to feel as if you're compelled to plop down on a bench in the middle of the mall to wolf down your bagel sandwich in a New York minute. I think they have a great product, but I don't know if everyone would be willing to spend that much for a few bagels and cookies or a muffin. Just saying. Honestly, it doesn't really bother me that much and I'm willing to spend a little more for the quality, but I'm not certain everyone would feel the same way. Like I said, excellent quality, but slightly exaggerated prices. Overall, I think it's worth it.
