I'll admit, I had fallen into the negative assumptions that sometimes come with shopping at discount stores. But my experience here completely changed that perception. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a warm "Welcome to Dollar Tree" by the cashiers. At first, I thought nothing of it until the rest of my experience unfolded. Unlike in many other stores, I didn't feel followed around or watched suspiciously. Instead, I felt comfortable and respected while shopping. The store was clean well stocked and bright. Which made for a great shopping experience. When I needed assistance, a clerk named Brandon went above and beyond. Rather than simply pointing me to the right aisle, he personally walked me over to where my items were located. His eagerness to help and genuine attitude gave me one of the best shopping experiences I've had in any store. Truthfully, I've received better service here than at some of the larger retail chains like Target or Walmart. That speaks volumes. This Dollar Tree has something special its staff truly care about their customers. From now on, if I need items that can be found at Dollar Tree, this will be the store where I gladly spend my hard-earned dollars. Most items are still in the box and the bigger priced items are on the shelf and 50% off. But some are in brown boxes so they're hard to tell what's inside of them but sometimes there's an open box near it. The items come from returns from Amazon, Walmart, and various other big-name establishments. They replenish new items on Fridays and tend to put stuff out throughout the day in the table bins where each day is a specified dollar amount with Thursdays being the least at $1 day. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't super busy, but you can sense the mental frenzy of people searching through items but for the most part it's pretty organized and well-kept. I was looking to get some handweights for exercise but missed out since I waited a few days to come in but the lady said they gets replenished Friday so I will check it in then. I did get a Camelback insulated metal water bottle that retails at $26 that I got for nine dollars. And they have a lot of namebrand items but you just have to look for them. The staff there was nice despite the fact that some of the customers there can be a little nitpicky on some of the items, but you get what you pay for in some cases there product might be without packaging or damaged but if you don't mind fixing them up, then it's a great deal too. Plenty of parking out front and once inside, it wasn't crazy busy and no line at the cashier. I was able to pay with cash or credit card/Apple Pay.

Somehow, one store kept pulling us back, and that's Grocery Outlet. There are several reasons for that: (1) The store always looks clean and their shelves are well stocked. (2) 99% of the time, the checker welcomes you with a smile and wishes you a good day. (3) All the staff are trained well. (4) The music they play doesn't break your ear-drums. In fact, shoppers seem happy to hum or sing along, which breaks the ice and make shoppers appear happy. (5) They don't change things around unnecessarily so you know exactly which aisle to go to for the products you need. Overall, I think the owners have done a splendid job in training their staff, their music choice, and the environment they created.
