This store has a whole aisle of party supplies in addition to a decent selection of greeting cards. I picked up a 6-pack of Hallmark cards with a sweet little graphic on the front. I stopped here looking for sticker books, but the selection was poor. However, I did find some packs of Colorforms and little art packs I like to keep on hand for traveling or eating out with my kids. My kids don't really care about tv characters, so these random ones are fine for them: True, My Little Pony, Jurassic Park, Puppy Dog Pals, Peppa Pig. I generally feel overwhelmed at a store like this, but this Tequesta branch is quieter and better organized than it's Palm Springs/Lake Worth counterpart.

But...they also have my regular cleaning products and accessories on hand at a fraction of the cost! On this last visit, I found dainty plastic plates, cutlery, tablecloth and napkins for a picnic at the park. To think how much I saved and how "sweet" our dessert table would be, just made me smile all the way home! I also love that the aisles are free to move about without the bulky boxes and clerks stocking as we shop. Instead, you'll find them at the registers so that there aren't more than three to four customers waiting to check out. Seems, to me, like the others should follow suit with this best practice!

We found what we needed in this department today. The rest of the store was fairly organized. And no big stacks of boxes blocked any of the aisles. They weren't very busy, so the one cashier wasn't busy either. For the first time in a while at this type of store, checkout was a breeze -- only one person ahead of us! I got a few greeting cards and I stood in line to pay. The lady at the cash register was not really a very customer focused employee...I saw how she treated the customers in front of me and it was just the bare basic human communication as payment was exchanged for merchandise. When it got to be my turn, she had the longest face and the most unfriendly attitude. That's a shame because every customer should be treated with the minimum amount of courtesy as their purchases help pay for this person's salary. Otherwise, the store had all the things I needed....

I have even gone to 3 different stores to try and find a few of the products. I was excited to find 2 of the items -- so I bought a couple duplicates. The new motto when I'm shopping now is: if you see it and need it, buy it then and there. You will either never find it again or the price will be higher. It's right on 441 in between Glades and Palmetto in the target/Aldi shopping center. Plenty of parking with the perfect spot just waiting for me right in front. A big selection of holiday paper is still in stock and a nice choice of foil paper too. A nice assortment of gift bags in various sizes and some last minute decorations. The only thing I couldn't find were candy canes. Of course I had to pick up a few other things while I was there. You can never have enough plastic storage containers, or potholders. With all of my family in town I was able to get some of those aluminum cooking trays, which can be thrown out when you're finished. The lines were moving today and the store was surprisingly neat and organized for this time of year. It was an easy, quick trip.
