Dollar Tree has some useful items, each at $1 or less:…read more -poster board -foam board -helium balloons -party supplies -gift bags -greeting cards All of theses items are already designed to be thrown away. This store has a whole aisle of party supplies in addition to a decent selection of greeting cards. I picked up a 6-pack of Hallmark cards with a sweet little graphic on the front. I stopped here looking for sticker books, but the selection was poor. However, I did find some packs of Colorforms and little art packs I like to keep on hand for traveling or eating out with my kids. My kids don't really care about tv characters, so these random ones are fine for them: True, My Little Pony, Jurassic Park, Puppy Dog Pals, Peppa Pig. I generally feel overwhelmed at a store like this, but this Tequesta branch is quieter and better organized than it's Palm Springs/Lake Worth counterpart.

But...they also have my regular cleaning products and accessories on hand at a fraction of the cost! On this last visit, I found dainty plastic plates, cutlery, tablecloth and napkins for a picnic at the park. To think how much I saved and how "sweet" our dessert table would be, just made me smile all the way home! I also love that the aisles are free to move about without the bulky boxes and clerks stocking as we shop. Instead, you'll find them at the registers so that there aren't more than three to four customers waiting to check out. Seems, to me, like the others should follow suit with this best practice!

We found what we needed in this department today. The rest of the store was fairly organized. And no big stacks of boxes blocked any of the aisles. They weren't very busy, so the one cashier wasn't busy either. For the first time in a while at this type of store, checkout was a breeze -- only one person ahead of us! I'd return if in the neighborhood.

I got a few greeting cards and I stood in line to pay. The lady at the cash register was not really a very customer focused employee...I saw how she treated the customers in front of me and it was just the bare basic human communication as payment was exchanged for merchandise. When it got to be my turn, she had the longest face and the most unfriendly attitude. That's a shame because every customer should be treated with the minimum amount of courtesy as their purchases help pay for this person's salary. Otherwise, the store had all the things I needed....

It's also jammed with household goods of every sort and things from canned food, spices and herbs to pillows and hair brushes. The aisles are narrow and can be somewhat difficult to navigate especially if you encounter the typical situation of a confused women with five kids and a shopping cart. I stopped in to get some bands to hold my ponytail hair and was delighted to find the exact same as sold at Walgreen for $3.95 at Dollar General for $1.00. I also picked up paper plates, plastic cups and plastic eating utensils for a picnic which were price better here than at Publix, and some Chicken Seasoning. A lot of the items have gotten somewhat out of order by customers picking them over so it takes some time to do shopping, but the prices are right and I found it generally better than other Dollar General stores with a much friendlier staff.

We specifically wanted Amazon gift cards (this goes for all gift cards according to the cashier), but when we reached the register, the cashier informed us that they no longer accept card payments for gift cards--only cash. Unfortunately, we didn't have cash on hand, so we were unable to purchase the gift cards and left with just the birthday cards. It would have been helpful if there were signs or notices about this policy change before checkout. Just a heads up if anyone is visiting this location I'm unsure of other locations. However the birthday cards were so cute!

Compared to our usual Dollar Tree stores, the aisles are a tad wider and they have a lot more stock. The shelves were fairly neat. What I liked most is that I was able to find a few things I'd previously purchased in Pompano, but that they've been out of the last few times I went. I have even gone to 3 different stores to try and find a few of the products. I was excited to find 2 of the items -- so I bought a couple duplicates. The new motto when I'm shopping now is: if you see it and need it, buy it then and there. You will either never find it again or the price will be higher. We were in the area meeting friends for dinner, so I'm not sure I'll be a regular here. However, it's nice to know there is another option for another Dollar Tree store.

It's right on 441 in between Glades and Palmetto in the target/Aldi shopping center. Plenty of parking with the perfect spot just waiting for me right in front. A big selection of holiday paper is still in stock and a nice choice of foil paper too. A nice assortment of gift bags in various sizes and some last minute decorations. The only thing I couldn't find were candy canes. Of course I had to pick up a few other things while I was there. You can never have enough plastic storage containers, or potholders. With all of my family in town I was able to get some of those aluminum cooking trays, which can be thrown out when you're finished.
