Along one wall there was a rather large bin that contained $1 items - mostly toys. They also have a large selection of bins. I found these fun to wander through and see what was offered. If looking at the packaged food, make sure to check the expiration dates before purchase. You never know what you will find.

The first time I was in they had UGG house shoes for around $50 and the next time I came in they had Chacos for about $50. This may seem like a lot of money, but that is exponentially cheaper than you would find them anywhere else. But there are many many more affordable things also. I got some great thank you notes for four dollars and even found some really cute two dollar pillows and three dollar wine openers. They had some great clothes but none in the size I needed. You have to be in the right mood to come in here because sometimes you have to really look to find the great bargains but it is well worth spending the time to do so. It has become one of my favorite places to go because you never know what you will find, but it will always be at a great price.

Think of it like TJ Maxx - it carries deeply-discounted overstock from mall stores like American Eagle, Aeropostale and Gap; men, women, women's plus and junior sizes only. It's basically the only place in town to get decent men's stuff and has more selection than JC Penney's. Some points to ponder: -There's a lot of merchandise crammed into a small space and there are no carts. Don't take your small children unless you enjoy trying to locate them amongst the racks. -The shoes, for the most part, are crappy plastic knockoffs. -They always have great selection of accessories: scarves, gloves and hats. I picked up a bunch of stuff in March for our friends who were visiting from South Florida. -They always have a good selection of winter coats, too. -Its proximity to Subway gives it a perpetually weird smell. Sort of like bread and lettuce. Any time I've been in the store, I'm usually only one of two or three shoppers. This could be because I try to go there early in the morning while my son is at preschool, avoiding the aforementioned supervision issue. First off, you will find a vast and constantly changing selection of antique and vintage home furnishings and decor- cabinets, hutches, shelves, accent tables, kitchen ware, a dizzying array of baskets in all shapes and sizes - which the the kind owners gather as they hunt estate sales, flea markets and the like. Most of these pieces are American made, all are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. Some will have been lovingly restored by proprietor Damien - who also crafts new pieces and can do so to your specifications! We recently bought a house in the area and are slowly making it our very own. I'm in need of a short shelf/hook rack, which might easily be obtained as a cheap piece of crap from Walmart mass-produced in communist China - or I'll pay a few dollars more and have one handmade right here in Ohio. Take a guess which I've decided on. In addition to wood crafts, proprietress Shannon makes personalized T shirts, coffee mugs and koozies with a great selection of designs to choose from. Still don't see something that grabs you? No worries, bring your own design and she'll make it happen. They say you can't always get what you want but that doesn't seem to apply here! Something here for everyone and great gift ideas too. Any unscheduled closing (doesn't happen often) is posted on their facebook page, so if you're making a special trip might want to check that first- or call. My other tip is, if you see something that grabs you- grab it now! I highly recommend you get over to the Workshop.
