My friend and I stumbled upon this place when I was showing her the landmark skyscraper, which is probably my favorite Wichita Falls fun fact. The shop owner is very nice, and she was telling a couple the story of the skyscraper when we walked in. She has lots of furniture, decor, and other little things that you find in shops like this. When you walk up the stairs in the skyscraper, the story of the con is along the walls, which is fun to see. There are two levels of clothing in the skyscraper, so you can see downtown Wichita Falls while you browse through the racks. The very top has some artwork. My friend and I both ended up buying something while we were there, so now I can say I have a dress I bought a dress in the world's littlest skyscraper!

I started shopping and I went down to the ice cream and the manager was stocking the ice cream freezer it had been broken a few weeks, the man was literally carrying like 3 boxes at a time instead of loading a cart and stocking it, I asked the man did he have any of the nutty bars that had fudge white fudge and Carmel in the middle he said no but gave me a small box that was just vanilla and said we have no others in the back. So I do my shopping and something said just go look at that ice cream low and behold what had he stocked exactly what I asked for that he told me there was absolutely none. Hardly anything was stocked in that store so I go to check out and there was a man that had been standing there quite awhile and I showed him the thing they had to squeeze so the cashier would come. She did I had already checked out 10 minutes before and reminded her to make sure it took my $2 birthday money off she said it did. I go put my groceries in the car and I had spent $67 I looked at my receipt and they didn't take the $2 off. Now some of you are probably saying it's just $2 but $2 to me is something, she called the manager to help me and instead of giving me the $2 he says I either have to come shop again before it expires which was only a few days and I just spent $67 there or I have to bring it all back in return it lose all my other coupons I used which was $15.75 and just get the $2 off. He is crazy that would of made me pay $82 plus. Like I told him I'm not returning it and I can't afford to shop again until next week and my coupon would of been expired I asked him why he just couldn't give me the $2 and his answer was I don't want the drawer short, like he couldn't of put a note in there why it was short. I called him out lying to me about the ice cream and he admitted to that and said I am sorry for lying. Well that store lost our business. I will drive a little bit longer and go to the DG on southwest parkway or the one on 9th street. Both of those stores are always clean and stocked up, not dirty and unstocked like the one on old jacksboro and they all have the same amount of workers. Anyway if your looking for a excellent DG like I said southwest parkway and 9th street are the best. You probably won't find half the stuff you want at DG on old jacksboro Hwy. They were going to try to charge me ten dollars over the marked price tag. Luckily I saw the price tag on the box for $12.99. They will drop whoever they think they can get away with. I am from the West Coast and am pretty particular about seafood as a whole. I've gone into local restaurants and was like ohhhhhh I can taste that this shrimp was frozen. Ohhhh kay... We normally love shopping here, but recently they did 3 things that are quite irritating…read more 1. Recently they've been changing up the ReadyMeals in many ways. Firstly they removed the tortillas from the taco kit, eventually replacing the kit with a "bowl" with most of the same ingredients, but seemingly less chicken and no tortillas. A very problematic change they've made to seemingly ALL of their ReadyMeals is removing cooking/heating instructions. Not only does that seem like a hazard, but it certainly makes it quite the challenge when trying to cook a pizza in the oven. Does it need 350 or 400°? Does it need 8, 10, 15, 20, or 25 minutes to properly cook? These factors vary by each type of pizza. Is the fraction of a cent saved on printer ink on the label worth the customer dissatisfaction? I would think not. 2. They removed all the wall art of the history of Wichita Falls, which had previously made the store feel more "local" and less "uninspired corporate cookie cutter location." 3. They moved the Dublin sodas (a local to Texas brand) to 4 different places around the store and have slowly been phasing them out. Of course, starting with our favorite 1891 Founder's Recipe Cola, followed by our second favorite the Cherry Limeade. We used to buy 6-12 bottles every 1-2 weeks. Normally I could see this being an issue with a lack of demand, but they were constantly sold out of those 2 flavors. I don't expect the 2nd change to be addressed, but it would be nice if the 1st and 3rd would be addressed. Regardless, staff is always friendly and helpful.
