The kitten was so traumatized that it crawled and hid in the car and wouldn't come out. We tried to get him out for a long time... a couple of hours. We couldn't really tell where the kitten was. Finally, we just gave up; we set out some food and water, and turned in for the night. The next day, we opened the car, checked the food and water, which didn't appear to have been touched. Meanwhile, Mr. Kitty continued to yowl, but he still wouldn't come out. We didn't know what else to do, so we brought the car to Al's Garage; he tried to get the cat out of hiding, but had no better luck than we'd had. He finally found where the cat was... deep into the Dashboard. Al tried to reach in and grab the cat, but he had no luck. Finally, he just told us that he'd have to take the Dashboard out of the car, which he did. He spent several hours but finally got the cat out. He gave us the cat, re-installed the Dashboard, and sent us home. He wouldn't take a penny for his hours of work. Coo Coo Cat lived with us for 21 years.

I was stopping at a different Jewel that was on my way home from work for a while but kept having issues with some of my produce rotting quickly, but I don't have that problem here. For family gatherings I order large quantities of chicken and sides online and have never had a problem. It is always made on time, hot and fresh. They have put in a brand new Starbucks which is awesome and convenient. I can be pretty needy, especially when Oscar Meyer lunchables are on sale and there are no more pepperoni ones left, but Dave in produce is always super friendly, knows my entire family because we always seems to be there, and is always very willing to help us find anything we need. We make sure to look for Dave every time we are there!

A small Mexican butcher shop and grocery store, with that friendly neighborhood feel. House made Chorizo just like shake and bake offers up makes a great base for my home made Chili. Very high quality arachera (skirt steak) they will run it through the meat tenderizer for you for free. Nice pork chops, I prefer the skinny ones on the bone with all the fat on the ends, but they have the boneless American ones as well. One of my favorite services is they will hand cut to order whatever meat you want. Whole chicken, cut down into pieces, or big chunks for my arroz con pollo. If you order a ton of wings they will remove the tips for you and give them back so you can make stock. On the weekends they have decent carnitas by the pound, fair prices on basic vegetables. Always fresh tortillas and a good selection of Mexican essentials like chile's and sodas.
