The Gold Pan meals I tried were tasty but they were pricy. I love their Hi-Pro milk! The store is spacious and I never felt crowded by other shoppers. Overall, I think their groceries are a bit overpriced compared to competitors. Wegman's keeps mailing me 10% coupons, so that helps! Also, shopping the Hot Zones and using their app for coupons can help reduce cost further.

We don't go grocery shopping often and tend to do one big trip once or twice a month. Having said that, most of the products here were either expiring within a few days or were already expired. I was looking at some cheese, I sometimes do the "manager's special" which means it's expiring soon. The cheese I picked up was completely molded. The produce section is a hit or miss. Nearly all of the bags of premade salads were expiring within a few days and the onions had fruit flies and bruising all over them. The soon-to-be expired food selection really makes grocery shopping for the month really difficult. On top of pricing, this is no longer the cheaper grocery store option in Wake Forest. The staff have always been lovely and oddly enough, I've made connections with quite a few people working in the checkout section. Unfortunately, due to high prices and nearly expired food every visit, I won't be coming back.

Quiet for the rest of the transaction then I let her know that honest mistakes happen and you just gotten own up to them. She shrugs and says, "Well it must've been stuck behind another." Not a single apology or anything, just another shrug along with an annoyed look.

The store is spotless, well lit and easy to navigate - some grocery stores feel so cramped, but Publix doesn't have that feel. The deals were great, too! Buy one get one free on numerous items! They have great produce, and you're not always limited to buying a bag full of an item, when you really only need 2. They have more variety and lots of name brands at better prices. I hadn't been in awhile and was shocked to see Land O Lakes cheese, Frito Lay Brand snacks, Coke products to name a few brands. You definitely save money here. Plus they have an app which has all the goodies and coupons. They have all the meat, cheeses, selection of refrigerated pastas (to name a few)that you would think it's a specialty. Oh and in another review I mentioned how mouth watering their bakery is. I'll definitely drive the extra mile to go to Lidl.

You can buy hummus on one side and turn around and buy a trampoline. The prices are decent so there's no issue there. It's just not what I remembered Lidl to be. The flow of the aisles were confusing, too. If I had to describe it, it's like a marketplace version of Costco. I do want to visit again during day hours because their bakery section looked like it would be great. Unfortunately, I visited around 7:30pm and most of the bakery items were gone.
