His grandmother specifically asked for a driver who accepted Zelle, as she had successfully used this payment method with the company before. Upon arriving at my son's workplace, his grandmother sent the payment ($10.00) via Zelle to the driver's confirmed number--verified three times before the transaction was made. Although the payment was sent and a screenshot confirming the successful transaction was shown to the driver, he became aggressive when the funds did not appear instantly in his account. The driver began yelling at my son, demanding payment, despite having been shown proof. He then exited the vehicle and physically pushed my son. When my son tried to defend himself, the driver quickly got back into his car and drove away. The police were immediately notified, and charges have been filed. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. No one--especially a minor--should be subjected to such aggression. I hope this review serves as a warning to others. I am absolutely disappointed with SafeRide for several reasons. You literally have to wait until their office opens just to reschedule a ride, and by then, you've often already missed your appointment. I had booked a round-trip ride for my doctor's appointment on April 21st. My pickup was scheduled for 7:45 a.m. because I had a 9:00 a.m. appointment at Emory University Hospital. My driver was literally one minute away and on the corner when they suddenly canceled the trip without explanation. I had to wait an entire hour before SafeRide opened so I could notify them that the driver had canceled my ride. However, the app still showed that I had a return trip scheduled from Emory back home. Since I never made it to my appointment, I asked SafeRide to cancel the return trip so it would not be deducted from my account. I suppose because of a language barrier with the agent, who was an outsourced representative for SafeRide, they failed to credit the return ride back to my account, leaving me with an odd number of rides remaining. I only receive 24 rides per year through United Healthcare. I have called several times asking SafeRide to credit that ride back to my account, and every outsourced agent told me they would take care of it. Yet none of them actually did. As a result, I ended up with only one ride remaining on my account instead of two. When I requested an override so they could book a return ride for an upcoming appointment, they told me I had to contact United Healthcare for additional trips. I contacted United Healthcare, and they told me I had to contact SafeRide. So basically, I've been sent around the mulberry bush by both SafeRide and United Healthcare because no one seems to know what they're doing, and no one is willing to take responsibility for correcting a mistake that should have been resolved the very first time I called. I am exhausted with the customer service from both SafeRide and United Healthcare. Ninety percent of the time, you can't get a United States-based representative on the phone. Instead, you're connected to outsourced agents in other countries who often struggle with English, and even those who speak it well frequently fail to fully comprehend the conversation well enough to adequately assist you. This is not just frustrating, it is unacceptable. Patients who rely on transportation to receive medical care should not have to fight this hard over a ride that was never even used. I am tired of this.

I called around to a few companies the night before my early morning flight and was told by them all I had to call 1.5 hours before I wanted to leave at 6:30am for the airport. That meant calling at 5am, and I sure as hell would not be up that early! When I called Atlanta Taxi Cab Service, I was happy to find out I could make a reservation and then not have to think at all the next morning to make a phone call when my brain surely would not be functional. The driver arrived exactly on time in the morning and was professional and courteous. Carried my very heavy suitcases for me. He didn't talk on the phone nor slam on the breaks at any part of the ride. It was such a cozy, peaceful ride in the Town Car that I didn't want to get out and deal with the airport rush! He said upon return if I need a ride I could text (no need to call!) and say my flight # and door # that I would be at. They would track my flight for me to make sure they are there to pick up at the curbside at the right time. Now that's service! It is about $10 more than you would pay for a yellow cab but you're paying for peace of mind AND the rate includes the tip! No need to worry about calculating the tip and taxes and service charges and all that. I paid a flat rate of $55 from Edgewood. Makes flying a tad more enjoyable.
